Another Day Another Story is about all of my characters, original, fan, adopted, and bred. This details the stories of their lives, and hopefully helps me develop them more. I will be switching from their human, anthro, and animal form constantly, so please forgive me if you get confused. Also, every character can talk in all three forms. In animal form, their method of communication is similar to telapathy. Finally, please do NOT post here. PM me if you want to discuss this thread.

CLOUDY
Cloudy stretched lazily, pushing himself upright again. He reached over for his book, Midnight at the Well of Souls. Though he had read it countless times, Cloudy was still captivated by the world where everything was possible. Well, almost everything. He put the book on the crowded stand in front of him, all greying and gross. Sky would have cleaned it long ago...had there been somewhere to stuff all the junk, he thought absentmindedly. Cloudy lay down again, pushing with his feet, making the swing go a bit higher. Well, not quite a swing. More of a couch that happened to connect to a base with a covering and able to move forward, backward, left, and right. In the distancce, the neighbors were heard. Cloudy and Sky never really cared enough about the neighbors to meet them. And that is Walnut Creek: a Sleepy Hollow where everyone goes around their own business. At least in San Francisco you can meet your neighbors, he thought with a sniff.
"Cloudy."
Cloudy looked up, almost falling out of the swing in his haste to sit up. He saw Sky, his mate, wife, whatever. She was beautiful as always, with her blue hair and black eyes. They were so similar, yet so different. He was a pegasus, she, a unicorn. Their temperments were totally different, and yet they somehow stayed together.
"Cloudy," she said again. "Dinner is ready. Stay out here as long as you like though. I just won't warm up the food again." Sky turned and walked away, her plain clothes loose though well-fitting on her.
Stop, chided Cloudy. You aren't a teenager any more. He pushed himself up, debating about whether or not to take his book, before deciding not to. He walked through the gate that seperated pool from deck, and ended up at the the outside dinner table, all the way near the kitchen. Sky waved for him to sit down, and he did so, savoring the tasty aroma of pilof. As Cloudy was piling the dish onto his paper plate, a small dot appeared in the sky, heading towards them. It soon materialized into Gabby the red-tailed hawk. In seconds, she turned from raptor to human, whereupon she handed Sky an invitation.
"Chill of Ice and Bruno Versi are getting married in two weeks," she stated. Gabby's brown hair, which was streacked with white and red was sticking up, as if she hadn't preened herself before the journey--or slept.
"Really?" gasped Nova, Cloudy's daughter. An unruly teen, she had an intrest in the world of the adults.
"Yes, really," said Gabby, her voice softening. "Well, How are things going, Cloudy, Sky?" she asked.
"Great," answered Cloudy. "We were just about to have dinner when you showed up--not that I don't want to go to the wedding," he said quickly.
Gabby chuckled. "Well, I gotta go. See ya'll soon. Bye." And with her goodbye said, she started running, preparing for takeoff. She leaped up, and before landing, had become a red-tailed hawk once more, speeding back towards her home.
***
Nighttime had fallen, and Cloudy lay in his bed, thinking about the wedding. He knew that Bruno was head-over-heels for Ice, and though she admitted that she didn't feel the same way, she still tried to love him. And now, they were about to head for the greatist adventure in their lives: marriage. They would have good times and bad times ahead, Cloudy knew, though their friends would support them no matter what happened.

CHILL OF ICE
"Ice...will you marry me?" asked Bruno. He was kneeling, and holding a simple gold ring in his palms.
Even though Chill of Ice had known the day would come soon, she was touched by the love in her partner's voice. She pretended to think about the proposal for a second, and Bruno's eyes almost popped out of his head. But of course, Ice said: "Yes. Yes, I'll marry you." She then picked up the ring in Bruno's palm, and put it on her left ring finger. He stood up and hugged her, brown meeting white. Ice's long tail twitched then, shooting paint across the room. She looked back and saw the great blue-green splotch on the white walls of their apartment.
"Whoops," she muttered. "The landlord will have something to say about that." The Rainbow Paint Wolf chuckled darkly, thinking back to their first few weeks in the apartment, when Bueno was still learning how to control her paint. Or at least, when she was learning how to aim.
Even though Chill of Ice and Bruno Bersi were still college students, that hadn't prevented them from adopting Bueno when she was still nothing more than a preteen. The little pup had come from an enourmous family and missed most of them. Especially her siblings, Uno and Napkin (who named their pup Napkin?), and her parents, Domino and Mateo. But Bueno had settled by now, and was perfectly happy with her new family.
Just then, Bueno called: "Ice! Need help here!"
"With what?" she called back.
"Summerwork!"
Bueno had been given some assignments to complete over the course of the summer. Among the assignments had been math, a subject she despised. When she needed help, she called on her parents. Ice nodded to her now-fiance, and went to Bueno's room. Bruno was left alone, a small smile spreading up his face.***
Chill of Ice and Bruno Versi had been planning the wedding for weeks, and today was the day when all their planning would be put into action. As all the guests knew, it wouldn't be a typical wedding. At least, not to them, for Rainbow Paint Wolves had a different method of mateship. The day was perfect, Chill of Ice noted. The sun was shining, birds were chirping in the trees, and the area was peaceful. Soon the guests would start arriving. Ice looked down at her dress with an air of satisfaction. Her white gown, though not frilly or poofy (she had insisted) carried an air of elegance. She wondered what Bruno's suit looked like. He hadn't told her, and wanted to keep it a surprise.
"You look so beautiful," gushed Rema. Ice turned around to look at her best friend. The bob-tailed Rainbow Paint Wolf was wearing a simple navy-blue dress with red highlights that complimented her brown hair. Like Ice, Rema's dress wasn't poofy or frilly. Ice could see Bueno, now a teen and gogeous to boot, hiding behind Rema.
"Come out," chuckled Ice. "Let's see how pretty you are." Bueno obliged, revealing a cream dress with brown highlights. "Both of you look striking." And that was true. To her surprise, Rema blushed. It was rare that the bob-tail allowed herself to "be a girl," but this was one of those occasions where she didn't even protest. Out of the corner of her eye, Ice spotted a small dot that quickly grew into Gabby. Upon landing, the red-tailed hawk turned into her human form.
"Am I the first guest?" she asked teasingly.
"Let's think... Yeah, you are," Ice replied in a similar tone. "Well, you should sit down. Come a long way?"
Gabby nodded. "Yeah. And I dispensed all the invitations at your request. That was a lot of invites for a wedding."
"Could have been larger," said Ice dismissingly. Gabby shook her head, smiling.
The triplets, Cherry, Raphael, and Tori were next. They emerged from the bushes, and Raphael cuffed Cherryon the ears, looking up apologetically at Ice. Cloudy and his family came, as well as the dragons. All sorts of dogs, cats, birds, and dragons came. Ice was nervous. How could she paint a good picture with this crowd watching? Perhaps Gabby was right. This may have been too big of a wedding. But last of all came Bruno, looking wonderfully handsome in his light-brown suit, highlighted with orange and gold. Even though Chill of Ice claimed to feel nothing more than a brotherly/sisterly affection for Bruno, her heart melted there. He was perfect for her, and she for him. An easel and a canvas had been set up by Rema already, and as Bruno and Ice walked up to the stage, they shared a look. They had planned out their picture already and so once they turned around to face the crowd, their tails went to work. They painted a picture of a clear blue sky and a grassy field. They painted a bright orange sun and a murky blue ocean. They painted blue dolphins chasing orange fish. But most of all, they painted their love. The show ended when Chill of Ice and Bruno Versi marked each other with their paint. Now, they would be together for the rest of their life. Ice threw a boquet of roses up into the air, and heard the whoops and cheers of everyone gathered.

STARFIRE
Far away from civilization, Starfire frolicked in grassy fields dotted with trees. It had been weeks since her near-death experience and she had already gotten over it. Her new family, Sombra, Ember, Darkest Night, and Chessy, were better than her own biological family had been.
"Hey, Starry!" called Darkest Night. The filly trotted up to Starfire who was lying in the grass.
"Yes?" asked Starfire, rolling onto her back. She waved her hooves in the air lazily, and Night jumped back. Starfire suppressed a giggle and rolled back over onto her hooves. She stood up and reared. Coming down, she started chasing Night who immediately ran away, laughing audibly. The fillies played a game of tag with each other, and it was only when dusk fell that they stopped.
Starfire looked up into the sky as she always did, and with a motion of her head, amplified the colors of the evening sky. Though dusk usually brought orange, purple, blue, and pink skies, Starfire made the colors sharper and more vivid. The colors all blended together in a magnificent display of dusk. Starfire looked up and satisfied, nodded.
Darkest Night made a slight motion for Starfire to come join the group. Sombra and Ember were already lying down, watching the three foals run in the grass. Chessy’s eyes were starting to close despite his greatest efforts. He collapsed onto the sweet-smelling grass, snoring slightly. Starfire giggled quietly, and took her place beside Darkest Night. The pair fell asleep together, quiet and happy.
***
The next morning, Starfire awoke before everyone else as was the norm. She munched some grass, knowing that no rabbits would be awake at this time. She and her family were mostly vegetarians anyways, despite being omnivores. It simply happened to be the way they lived. And Starfire didn’t mind it a bit. Up above, birds woke up and chirped, singing their morning songs. Soon, the other Sanskiras would wake and the day’s play would begin again.
As usual, Sombra, Ember, Chessy, and Darkest Night soon woke and ate their breakfast of grass. They found Starfire lying lazily in the grass, grinning slightly at them.
“Want to race?” asked Chessy. He was a Sanskira of few words and made sure to pack much meaning behind each sentence he spoke.
“Of course!” said Starfire. She stood up and looked around for a suitable place to run. “How about…from the big tree to the sapling?” she motion with her head as she spoke.
Darkest Night and Chessy nodded. The two trees were far enough that it would be a fair race but not so far that they would be winded before reaching them. Sombra trotted up to the three, having overheard their conversation. “Okay. Now, ready…set…go!” he said, when the foals were lined up. They burst into a run with Darkest Night slowly gaining. The race ended with Darkest Night in first place, Chessy in second, and Starfire in last.
As Starfire trotted to the sapling, Darkest Night teased: “I thought you were faster than that!”
“I’m tired,” retorted Starfire. And indeed she was, but so were the other two.
With a snort of laughter, Chessy trotted back to his parents. Glancing at each other, the two fillies did the same.
