Lucinda smirked as the stranger acknowledged her, and turned away. Moving back to wherever they belonged. Good riddance... the dark witch thought to herself. From her window, Luce saw the apprentice witch, Basil, sitting alone. Elizabeth, the youngest in the coven, and the lead witch to be, approached him. Lucinda rolled her eyes. She was glad most people left her alone, although she did feel lonely occasionally. Getting back to her drawing, her black curls slid gently from behind her shoulder to hanging loosely in front of it.
Unable to concentrate, Lucinda stood up suddenly - throwing the piece of paper violently into the bin. Chewing her bottom lip in frustration, she spun around dramatically. Running down the stairs, Lucinda flung the kitchen door open, and made a list of everything that they needed for the next few weeks. Once this was done, she shoved the scrappy piece of paper into her pocket, picked up her high heeled boots, and grabbed her black helmet from its place by the door. Shaking her hair out as she left the house, she put the helmet under her arm and strutted towards Basil and Elizabeth.
"Tell Kimberleigh, when you see her, that I've gone out for a while. I probably won't be back for a while," she smiled sarcastically. Turning on her heel, she made her way to the drive way. Standing before her 'broomstick', her Kawasaki H2 motorbike. Laughing to herself, Luce swung her leg over it, and started the engine. Speeding away, Luce closed her eyes.
About half an hour later, she rolled up in town. Parking the bike up, and not bothering to buy a ticket, Luce moved into the shopping district - passing a few apartments and pretty houses as she went. People looked at her strangely enough, a few boys wolf whistled. Most, however, moved out of her way. Although the townspeople knew about the manner house on the outskirts of town, most didn't know what inhabited them. Of course, they had their ideas; stories about ghosts and knights and witches and brooms. Lucinda could almost taste their fear, and she loved it. Concealing her eyes with sunglasses, Luce walked into the supermarket - grabbing stuff off of the shelves like a robot. Once she had paid, Luce strutted out of the supermarket, greeted once again by stares of wonder and fear. As she moved down the street, she could hear a group of boys laughing, and footsteps approaching her. One of the boys grabbed her shoulder, and whispered in her ear. Smirking, Lucinda moved away, turning her head over her shoulder and winking at him. A little shocked, the lad followed her - calling to his group of cronies. He followed Lucinda down an alley. Back in the day where Luce acted as bait for vampires, she would have been rewarded for this.
"I suggest, boy, that you leave" she spoke menacingly. But the brute wouldn't move - just laughed and swaggered up to her. Rolling her eyes, Lucinda rolled her fingers around - and blue sparks moved from her fingertips towards him. Through her sunglasses, her eyes glowed. Scared, the boy started backing up. The blue sparks attached themselves to his jacket, and he writhed in pain. Moving to him, Lucinda snickered, and whispered in his ear - something so menacing that he turned white as a sheet. Laughing, Lucinda moved down the alley towards another shopping street, relishing in the sound of heavy footsteps running away.
