Google Chrome is dropping its support for Java. There's a temporary fix, but I'd advise you to switch to another browser (Firefox is recommended), as the fix is only temporary.

What is this fix?

Chrome has now completely dropped support for Java, meaning that you won't be able to use Oekaki on Chrome.

You can verify your Java version here.

Unfortunately, you cannot run the Oekaki on mobile devices.

Can you tell us what happens when you try to use the Oekaki? What shows up? Would also be helpful if you provided details such as the browser you are using, and your operating platform.

You don't need to download Oekaki in order for it to run. Yes, it is free, and no it won't 'destroy' your computer. (Not sure what you mean by 'destroy', but if you're speaking in terms of malware, etc., it is a safe program to run.)
However, in order to run the Oekaki, you will need to download Java. You may do so on Java's page here. If you're planning to use a tablet and would like pen pressure when using the Oekaki, I would advise you download a separate plugin, such as JTablet (though it hasn't been updated in quite a while).

There's no download for the oekaki and it's free. Destroy your computer, no. I'm pretty sure it works with a traditional wacom tablet. That's what I have but I don't use the oekaki very often. You use Java to run the Oekaki. You can download it here if you don't already have it.

Double click on the layer number (:,
, but it didn't do anything when I double clicked. I am using the updated version if that's important

It worked when I saved and reloaded the page :)

I need help with lines...
Image
I like the line art a lot, but people with other adopts have much smoother lines and mine are all... jagged.
For example, plumerians lines look like there not even pixels!
Help?

You will have to press save and 'No, I'll finish it later' and then go to editable oekaki and view the unfinished drawings section below the canvas. Click on the drawing you wish to upload to editable and upload it, it will be in editable oekaki but I'm afraid that's the only way I know.
