I have never seen anyone show such excitement about a potential project I'd like to pick up outside of my own family. I'm both shocked and ecstatic.
*clears throat* Anyway. If I do decide to start making [fan] theory videos, I can't guarantee anything fantastic in terms of things like having clips from the show rolling in the background or graphics or the likes, unless I had help from someone who's experienced or has worked with those materials before as I myself have no experience in that field of sorts. Either that, or I'll have to watch some tutorials on YouTube on how to add those aforementioned clips into videos...if there are even tutorials for that.
Also, I would need some ideas for the actual theories, or I suppose topics in general, to discuss. For example, my dad believes that either the dagger or Excalibur will "win out", I guess you could say, as he *seems* to believe they can't coexist. If that makes any sense. I apologize if it doesn't, I'm terrible at explaining things. I know something I was speculating over towards the end of the last episode was if our heroes are trying to stop or get rid of The Dark One, as in Emma, or more specifically the darkness that binds the Dark One[s] to the dagger - perhaps permanently. Here's another example: something else I've been pondering since season five premiered...what happened to Merlin in those six weeks while our heroes were in Camelot? He's said to be the only person who can rid Emma of the darkness, but that clearly didn't happen as she's still The Dark One in present day Storybrooke. On that note, we still have yet to see him in Storybrooke. And also, what happened that caused Emma to create a new, totally fresh curse, one that requires something the town supposedly doesn't have: a savior?
Another idea I've been entertaining is making videos focusing on the actual lore behind some of the characters or creatures we've met. Take the Fury in last night's episode, for example. Another topic I guess I could discuss is ships, but I'd probably be more hesitant to discuss what I, personally, ship mainly because I've heard of fans bashing one each other because they don't like that pairing and that's not an argument I want to get into, especially on YouTube. I don't want that crap on my videos or channel. And the smaller percentage of me refrains from discussing my ships, regardless of the TV show or movie or game or whatever the pairing originates from, because I think I'm a weirdo. *shrugs* On top of that, I suppose I could also do videos on upcoming OUAT news...but I'd make no promises of how often I would post said news videos.
If I were to go through with us and I do start making videos, I'd probably create a separate channel [since the one I have now is crap and yucky as heck] and try my hand at creating channel art, or try to persuade a dear friend of mine to create a cover photo, banner, whatever you want to call it for me since she's really, really good with art and I think that would be a good way to get her name out there if she chooses to go into the art field later on down the road. Having said all this, I want to make it clear that I'd be making these videos in my free time, on my own free will: though I will take suggestions on what videos I should make, regarding fan theories or lore or "just for fun"/"silly" topics [like my top five/ten _________, for example] or whatever, I am not obligated, if that's the word I'm looking for, to make/upload videos. I'm currently in school, which means that I have homework to keep up with on top of a lore that my boyfriend and I are working that needs a Wiki page, so I may be preoccupied with other things sometimes. If my potential watchers become too demanding, there's a possibility I'll drop this project altogether. Also, this may not potentially be an exclusively Once Upon A Time channel. I may choose to split it evenly between my other TV show interests, like Supernatural for instance, or I may post a video regarding something from Supernatural or whatever once in a blue moon. Who knows?
