She smiled back, pushing her hair behind her, and grabs her leg. "Hi, I'm Emily," She said, looking at him. "Crazy how everything happened... I don't even remember what I was even doing before this," She said, trying to remember and take in everything. She shakes her head, and takes in a deep breath.

Digging through rubble, the auburn haired teen carefully looked around for food, Ghost, her white Northern Inuit digging around and Miggy, trying his best to catch a mouse he had seen. Both of her pets were started to think and she at least needed to bow to hunt, maybe a rifle, since she had seen a few large birds and rabbits, also a couple deer. But nothing. The town seemed like a ghost town, nothing living except rodents and animals that had survived. All she had was a knife to defend herself against any attacker, and that, was very crudely made.

Looking back at her four legged companions, she saw Miggy had caught his mouse, and now he was digging into it hungrily, devouring the thing nearly whole. Ghost was busy trying to catch a small rabbit now, and Summer herself had finally found food, some crackers. It wasn't protein, but it would ease her hunger.

Cullen nodded. "I only remember a little bit, I remember the shaking and I was at my friend Darren's house.. But I don't really remember any details." he said. He looked at her. "It was just all so.. sudden."

She nods her head sighing, "Yeah..." She says sadly, looking down, picking at the grass. "At least someone you know is still alive," She says, chuckling, looking at Cullen, then back at the grass as a tear runs down her cheek. Thinking about her family, and pets that she's lost. her hair falling, covering her face.

Jay couldn't believe that Lavia ran back twords the water but wasn't about to go after her. He turned to Natalie and sat next to her. "It's nice to meet you, I wish it was under different circumstances. I'm Jay, who are you?" He asked scratching the back of his neck.

Lavia was running as fast as she could go. She saw to dots moving closer to her and saw that it was Zaliah and another cat. When the cats got to her she grabbed them and ran back twords the hill, the water almost nipping at her heals. She was almost to the hill when the water got to her, she was almost swept away but jumped and made it back to the group and set the cats down panting.

Natalie looked at him with a friendly smile. "I'm Natalie." she said, "Thanks for helping me back there. I should be on my feet soon- they'd fallen asleep for god knows how long, it'll take them a bit to get back." She looked as Lavia barely made it to the top of the hill. "Are you alright?" she called out to her from where she was sitting.

Cullen wasn't sure what to do when she started crying. He froze for a second, wondering if he should comfort her or not, since she didn't really know him. He sighed and moved closer to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay... A lot of people have lost people they love in this disaster, but you know what? We're all going to get through it, together." he smiled at her.

Sparkles - 11 year old cat

Sparkles shook out her fur, it having gotten wet when they almost got swept away. "Get your paws off me you stinking human!" she meowed, struggling to get away from Lavia. She got out of her grasp and started licking her paws as if nothing had happened. "Are you alright, cat?" she meowed, looking at Zariah as she continued to wash her paws.

She nodded, wiping her tears away, and sniffling a bit. "I hope so..." She says, looking at him again and smiling back, still pulling grass. The pain in her leg starts to become sharp, and she gasps, grabbing her leg. "Ouch..." She says, trying to put pressure on her wound.

He walks down the road, seeing the city destroyed. He sighs walking into a convenient store, remembering the first time he met his dead lover. He holds back the tears, going into the back, and finding some stored food. He eats it, grabbing a bag, and putting food into it, as well as a knife for protection or hunting.

Cullen frowned when he saw her wince from the pain. He looked down at her wound. "What happened?" he asked her, looking back up at her face. "You're going to have to change that soon." he said, eyeing the bloody t-shirt.

"I got a big piece of glass stuck in it when the earthquake hit, and I pulled it out, and wrapped it up. I don't know what else to wrap it up with," She says, worried about it getting infected. She moves her hand away from the wound to let Cullen see it.

Cullen looked at the wound. "Well if it doesn't get too bad then we can wait for the water to go down and look for a medical store or something. In the meantime, my sister might know what to do about the wound.. she knows first aid." He looked over at his sister, who was talking to one of the other guys. He sighed and looked back at Emily. "I'll talk to her later and see what we can do.. if we can't get to a medical store, we can always just rip up another t-shirt." he looked at hers. "But not yours... it's already ripped enough."
