Personality: Grumpy like all the time, but thinks she's very regal. Kind of has an "i know everything" attitude, isn't really cuddly.
History: Sparkles' family was out on vacation when the earthquake struck. She managed to get herself out of the house and is now roaming the streets by herself. Being an indoor cat her whole life, surviving has been tough.

She limps over to the new people, and looks around watching the water rise, her heart starts to race a little. She shakes her head and listens in on the conversation, she laughs a little at Natalies life guard comment, and leans against a tree that was half broken.

Zariah: I saw the water rushing towards us and I froze, I saw everyone leaving. If I were to chase after them I would get washed away by the water, I looked around and saw a tree near me. I ran up it as fast as I could and went to the tallest tree branch that could support me. I meowed with fear and I dug my claws in to the branch holding on for my life.

Natalie sat down next to her brother. "Cullen? Cullen wake up." she put her hand over his mouth - he was breathing, but faintly. "Cullen you have to wake up." She gently smacked his face, hoping he would wake up.

Cullen groaned again and stirred, opening his eyes again. "Wha- What happened?" he said, grabbing his head and slowly sitting up. "Where's Darren?"

Natalie looked at her brother with sadness. "Cullen, I don't... I don't think he made it out. They just pulled you out of the house, nobody else."

Sparkles heard a cat meowing from up a tree. She had been running for her life from the water that was quickly coming towards them. She looked up, seeing a cat clinging to the tree. She jumped up the tree, climbing up to where the cat was standing. "NO!" she meowed, looking at the cat with fear. "If you stay here the water will knock down the tree!" she grabbed the cat by the scruff and pulled. "We havth tth go" she meowed through the fur.

She sits down on the grass, trying to catch her breath, she looks over at her old neighborhood being swallowed by the water. She shook her head, then looks over at Cullen and Natalie, listening in on their conversation.

Cullen nodded to his sister sadly, holding back his tears. He looked at Emily and smiled softly, she had probably lost something in the earthquake, too. He looked back at his sister. "You go rest, I'm going to go and get to know the others." he stood up and walked over to Emily, sitting down next to her. "Hi," he said. "I'm Cullen."

Zariah: I froze, I was scared. I couldn't move and I had acknowledged what the other car had said but it didn't get through to me. I yellped in pain when she dragged me out of the tree, but I didn't do anything about it and let her take me.

Sparkles started hauling the cat with her as fast as she could go. She was annoyed that this other cat wasn't running itself, but it was obviously scared and Sparkles thought to herself, if this was her kittens, she would want somebody to save them too. Even if they were all grown up. So she hauled the cat towards a hill, which she knew they would be safe from the water.

Zariah: my mind started to move again and I got on my paws but I was leaning up against the cat. I moved quickly at the same pace the other cat was. I noticed I was limping at bit but I kept moving, and realizing I can deal with that later
