This is tricky, but I think unfair for them, considering their pet is on the main list and your pets are mid/low advents. Huge gap, I believe. The september pets don't fill it.
As for demand, unfair to you by obvious terms.

its not really unfair to the bottom by "obvious terms" or "demand". you cannot predict exactly what people will pay for the pet.
the rat can be tricky to trade off but its definately worth more then a couple of septembers and mid advents. plus, the pets on the bottom don't have the best demand either.
personally i'd do it, just because i know there are quite a few rat lovers/collectors/hoarders out there that would pay a decent price.

I also really agree with you, 3 months ago before I made a new account, from being banned I had to pay approx a blue toxic for my rat, which I believe is worth much more then the bottom trade
