It was an early night; the sun had set much quicker
than it usually did. Being the more curious person, you
took advantage of the dawning darkness and had ventured
into the woods. October had recently arrived, and with it,
your love of the many autumn colours came back. Although,
once you were out in the confines of the forest, a loud rustle
startled you. Whirling around, you turned to face... a creature?
A demon? A monster?!

The creature was relatively large in size, and a grin stretched
across it's maw, very much akin to the smile of a jack 'o' lantern.
Surprised, you took a step back, growing more uncomfortable as
more and more of the creatures began to emerge. What scared
you the most, however, was when one spoke.

"We are Spoopies! Human, will you be our friend?"

What are Spoopies?

Spoopies are creatures that only come out in the duration of October, which in itself is the month belonging to Halloween festivities. They are mainly nocturnal creatures, of whom roam around in the black of the night. They are also known to be Halloween spirits, and the most identifiable feature is their ghostly tail. Said tail is actually a soul that has departed from the mortal realm, and has attached to their spirit host in hopes of having company... most souls were actually quite lonely before they attached themselves to a Spoopy. As for tails, there are five basic types: Normal, Excited, Detached, Anxious, and what we like to call 'Notice me Senpai'. In general, Spoopies are very friendly, and spend their afterlife looking for a human to attach to and to bond with. Once a Spoopy has bonded with it's human, there is little chance the two [or three, including the tails] will break such a bond. Once you have a Spoopy, you have them for life. Despite searching desperately for a human bond, some spoopies do not find one in time, and will vanish at the end of October; only to reappear the following year around the same time.

Rules to Obey
• You may own a total of eight Spoopies this season. Once you reach that limit,
you must wait until next year to acquire more Spoopies.
• Only apply for adopts that have [adopt me] written on the image, and once you
visit the actual thread, it states in the title that the Spoopy is open for adoption.
• Use your manners; be kind to both staff and visitors here. Arguing, name-calling,
guilt-tripping and other things of that calibre will not be tolerated.
• No claiming other Spoopies that are not your own.
• Gifting is allowed, but the owner of Spoopies must consulted first.
• CS rules made by Tess apply here, as they do in every adoption center.
• Marking the thread is allowed.

Only artists can have customs, or people may earn semi-customs in competitions. ^^;
