You pin your ears back, staring at the twoleg. It stares at you as well, still cooing. A twoleg above the table makes a noise, and the one watching you briefly disappears.

"Here comes the fun part," Charlie says.

The twoleg lowers itself back onto the ground, this time holding a piece of what seems like meat in its paw. Charlie starts for it, but another paw sweeps down and beckons her with something that smells very sweet. While she munches away on that, you stare at the food. Slowly, the twoleg behind it starts to fade away from your eyes, and your stomach grumbles.
