Riverleap stopped dead when a strange scent met her nostrils as they patrolled the border. "Ravenstar…" The silver tabby meowed, ears perking and tail high. It kind of smelled of fox, perhaps a day old, but there was a different scent with it that she didn't quite recognise.

"Yes, RiverLeap?" The leader stopped, turning around to look at the she-cat. RavenStar padded over to where RiverLeap was, scenting the area quietly."Hmm... This is quite unusal..." She murmured at the odd scent.

Riverleap looked at Ravenstar. "What do you think it is?" Riverleap asked. To her, it smelled a little like dog, but the scent of fox was strongest and almost drowned it out completely. This was something she'd never smelled before, and she felt a little stupid asking her leader what it was.

I purr cheerfully. My mentor may be old, but she could still mange to brighten my day."Did you hear about the kits?" I ask. "There's just so cute!" I swish my tail happily, bounded over to a corner to look at the Juniper berries.

RavenStar smelled the scent for a while before deciding it's owner."It's most likely a younger fox that has passed through the two-leg place. Since it hasn't crossed the border and only went past it, we won't need to worry about it." The leader meowed before continuing the patrol.

Riverleap looked at her leader with concern as she walked away but didn't say a word. She was already in enough trouble and defying Ravenstar would probably make things worse. The fae didn't know what to do.. It was nearly only 2 days until she was expected to meet Mosstail, but Ravenstar had kind of ruined her life. She didn't blame the leader though, more than anything, she blamed StarClan for making up such a harsh code. The reasoning behind it was understandable, for she couldn't imagine the day she would meet him in battle, but surely it was the cat's choice if they wanted to break their heart? Shoving her anger aside and replacing it with more sadness, she followed the leader as they carried on with the patrol.

Soon, the patrol came to an end. The three cats were heading back to Camp, RavenStar leading them from the front.

StonePaw purred lightly at his mothers comments before looking around for SalmonFur. Since he had rested, he wanted to start training again.

SilverFur returned to Camp, carrying three mice, a vole and a smaller squirrel. She placed away her caught prey before begging to pad off to the warriors den for a quick rest.

MossTail
MossTail had already woken up and was busy cleaning out the nursery. The large tom carried away bundles of old moss from the den, burrying them once he was outside of Camp.
