She pushed her spear farther and farther into the beast's eye, making it scream and writhe. Why wouldn't it poof already? She gritted her teeth and pushed farther, and farther, her spear beginning to bend under the pressure. At last, something inside of the monster gave and it tensed, frozen for a moment before bursting into light, a large corrupted gem the bloated size of a basketball drifting down and landing in the silt with a heavy thump.

Aventurine backed away from the creature as is dissipated, paddling backwards awkwardly. She looked to the gem with the spear in awe. She did it. She really did it, she thought to herself. She started to swim towards the gem, her wet hair weighing her down and slowing her slightly.

Topaz freed her sword when the monster poofed, she went up to the surface and waved her sword away. She huffed and brushed her wet hair out of her face.

"Aw, it's nothing. Shoulda have watched my step."
She looked at all the weird-color people.
"All those strange people are really distracting too. They coulda have belong to some kinda fandom."

"Finally! Woo!" Pink Tourmaline said when the creature disappeared. She turned a cartwheel on the sand. Gathering herself, she swam over to the gem who killed it. "That's a large gem. Its corrupted too." She observed.
