You don't have much time. You pace back and forth, thinking hard. Food. Food, something to eat. It's a shame there aren't any healthy rats or pigeons around he-

Your head jerks up. Without a second thought, you sprint for Thimble's house.

You luckily don't have to run as far as earlier. When you make it over the fence, Thimble and Scat are seated around the rather large crow. They must have pulled it out of their hiding spot.

"I don't think we need to- oh, hey, Asterpaw!" Thimble turns to greet you.

You don't waste any time. "I need that crow."

Thimble tilts her head. "Sorry?"

"All the trash cans are empty or going to be empty today, and I need to pay off Jay." You breathe for a moment before continuing. "That crow's probably the healthiest meal around here. It won't be much, but-"

"It'llholdheroff," Scat says. He nods to Thimble.

"Well, alright." Thimble pushes it your way. "Didn't know what to do with it, anyway."

"Thanks I owe you bye!" You snatch it up and scramble over the fence. It almost catches the top with its wings, but you're heavy enough to keep it moving. Holding it by the neck and trying to keep it from dragging, you jog right back down the hill.

The trip to the grocery store takes longer than you'd like, mostly because you have to hold your head up and you're carrying a hefty weight. You triumphantly drop it on the ground and sit down, waiting for Jay.

Once again, she takes her time to get there, still accompanied by her two friends. Their faces change from annoyed and apprehensive to complete surprise when they see what you have.
