François Bonnefoi ;; forgotten ;; cafe
François moved from one oven to the next, removing fresh pastries and
placing them in the cooling trays as he slid the newest batch into the oven.
the male had removed a cooled tray from earlier, the pastries warm but
settled and pushed the kitchen door open with his back, placing the food
items that were already there in a basket and placing those by the cash
register, then re-stocking the shelves with the warm and new pastries.
he placed the tray on a counter behind him and pulled apart a croissant
from the basket, putting a piece in his mouth. the cafe was busy, and it
was the usual in his mind to give the pastries that he didnt see were worth
selling to people with their coffee. after a moment he simply sat behind
the counter, hair pulled back and flour dusting his cheeks, forehead and
apron where he had likely brushed his hand against them or wiped hair
from his face. the man was rather good at what he did, and took small
breaks here and there.
however that day he did recognize a few faces; likely customers from
before or something of the like. one was tall and had some grey sort
of tinted hair, the other with large eyebrows and who always seemed
agitated. he reached up to the chalk board that had all the ordering
options on it and put a squiggly line through the earl grey tea having
run out and adding in looping cursive ' pastries made at 13:01' and
sitting at the stool behind the ordering counter to relax and take
orders if need be. he didnt want to be in the hot kitchen anymore, and
the cafe's general surroundings were always quite alluring to him.

name ;; berwald oxenstierna | country ;; sweden | group ;; never forgot | crush ;; finland | with ;; no one
berwald moved through the world slowly, nowadays. there were times when he was in a state of denial, that his friends, his brothers.. they would all be waiting for him when he returned to his home. but of course, it wasn't quite as simple as that. many he knew were gone, and he was alone. and yet, he forced himself to move through the motions of living. his country wasn't about to wither away anytime soon, and therefore, neither was he.
the blonde pushed open the door of the small cafe, and stepped inside. his blue gaze instantly widened upon landing on more than just a few familiar faces, england included. however, he made no move to sit by the british country and his converser, instead choosing a small table in the corner. once there, berwald delicately called up the menu, and allowed his icy orbs to travel across the foods listed.

By the way, you're lucky that I'm waiting and bussing tables tonight, too. You won't be stuck doing it alone. Anyway.." He glanced up the bar to be sure he wasn't needed before wiping his palms on his shirt and walking out from behind the counter. "Where to?"
A R T H U Rarthur kirkland -- britain/england -- never forgot -- tags;; café folksAs more familiar faces turned up, Arthur had to resist the urge to stand and leave. He offered an almost reluctant smile to Gilbert, already regretting what he was to say. "Ah, no. You both simply remind me of old friends of mine! I do hope I didnt make you uncomfortable from it?"
He paused and glanced around, sighing in relief to see someone he was certain remembered. England gave a small smile and waved lightly to Sweden in a polite greeting. The other's presence reminded him to keep a level head about the situation. His glances also had him settle his gaze on François (or, as Arthur preferred the use of the English name due to his stubbornness, Francis) for a moment. He paused and frowned lightly. He could use the Frenchman's playful banter and insults for once. Life wasn't the same without someone calling him in the mornings simply to "remind him to feed the caterpillars glued to his face."

Gilbert stole a glance at the Canadian again. He wasn't sure how to approach him, so he just sat there. He looked at his watch. "Oh gosh! I'm late for vork!" He exclaimed packing up his stuff. "I got to go, nice meeting you!" He waved and rushed out the café. He felt a sense of déjà vu as he gazed at several of the people inside. Strange.

"Oh uh, I'm not really sure." Italy admitted. "I just know where it is! It's super cool I promise!" He moved his phone to his other ear, speaking again after those few moments. "So! What are you doing? Anything really exciting? I hope so, that'd make things a lot more fun!" Italy himself was always rather slacking in anything work related, and avoided it like it was the English army.Lukas Bondevik

Lukas' eyebrows knit together for a moment when Anri's voice trailed off, and then her sudden change of topic. He decided to take it in stride without questioning though. He looked over towards the family of ducks. "Yes, they're very nice animals." He said, his voice naturally taking a quieter tone. "Mmm. I usually eat at home a lot, its easier, but I know of a small diner near here. It is what you could call a local place." He thought about what she said, as well as how to tell her the location. He realized what she had said. She thought she used to own ducks? "...Perhaps I could, ah, show you the way?" Lukas suggested, looking away from the waddling ducks over to the Belgian, a small smile growing on his face. He could ask her what she meant by 'she thought'.

Anri nodded in excitement, her mousy-blonde curls bobbing with the movement. "Yes please! I have no clue where anything is here." she explained, smiling sheepishly. She let her gaze trail off towards the lake once more, taking in the beautiful sight before standing up and brushing herself off daintily. Smiling, Anri offered her hand to Lukas, as if to say 'we're going now'. She was hungry, and she wanted food as soon as possible, but she wasn't going to be rude about it. It wasn't how she was brought up! Well, that's what she thought, anyway. Anri wasn't sure about anything these days.

Sighing, Matthew finished his cup of coffee, and folded the top corner of the page he was at, as a makeshift bookmark. Slowly standing, he made his way over to the glass doors, thanking the waitress gingerly for his beverage, and set off his way, towards and unknown place. The lack of people around the area soothed the man's nerves, as he rounded the corner, and say the array of shops, tightly packed in together. It brought a smile to his face, as the cosiness of the whole city was rather comforting to him. It was as if there was nothing to fear here, and nothing bad ever happened. Though, Matthew swiftly brushed the naïve thought away, knowing that no town was like that. No matter how much he wanted it.

Country;; America
Name;; Alfred Jones
Tagging;; Lovino/South Italy
"Oh, don't get that curled of yours tied up in a bunch." He said jokingly. America smirked, "So you decided to work late with me tonight huh? How nice of you!" He said with a soft chuckle. "Better to have your company than none, right?" Alfred shrugged a little as he exited the building, holding the door open for the Italian. "for food...how..about...Oh! How about some pizza? Italian's like pizza, right? I heard theres a rad pizza place down the block from here. Or are you more interested in grabbing some coffee? Whatever you like, its on me."
Country;; Spain
Name;; Antonio Carriedo
Tagging;; Veneziano/North Italy
He chuckles lightly, leaning back in his seat. "Ah, Muy bueno." he said with a soft smile. He sighed a little, his smile turning into a bit of a grimace. "I haven't been doing much besides work...I've been so busy." He said with a weak, somewhat tired laugh. These days, the Spaniard didn't get as much sleep as he once did, because of all the work hes doing, he doesn't have the opportunity to take siestas anymore. "Lo siento Veneziano, life for me hasn't been to 'exciting'....So. Has anything exciting happened with you?" he asked, hoping to hear that the other was at least enjoying life a bit more than he was.

L O V I N Olovino vargas -- s. italy -- forgotten -- tags;; alfredLovino rolled his eyes, scoffing. "Don't flatter yourself. I'm only workimg late to cover for someone and get extra cash." Listening to the following statement and smiling with a slight nod, he sighed softly. Mumbling, "Grazie," as Alfred held the door, he thought over the food options for a moment and chuckled softly at the American's words. "Sí, Italians like pizza. Let's go ahead and get that. If I wanted coffee I'd have stayed there and snuck a Spanish one," he joked.
(/I just remembered my mom making "Spanish coffee" so I figured "coffe drink with alcohol + SPAIN = accurate, fitting, cute and somewhat hint for feels whoops///)
A R T H U Rarthur kirkland -- britain/england -- never forgot -- tags;; café folksAs Gilbert left, Arthur relaxed a moment and sighed. Matthew's exit only added to his bit of relief. Stress levels naturally high, the presence of them (and François still, of course) didn't help him in the slightest. With a dull peridot gaze, he looked around the café, torn between chatting with Sweden, daring to speak to France or remaining isolated from reality. Once realizing that keeping to himself was making him grow antsy and hurtling him towards a deep sadness from overwhelming thoughts, he shook his head and mentally debated over who was the better route for conversation.
Deciding for François at the moment, the Englishman now glanced over at him to think over what to say. The basis for his decision to speak to France was, of course, to check up to see if he remembers anything while seeming inconspicuous. This is more difficult than I expected...
