Rebellion: A Warrior Cats CYOA

How This Works:

In this CYOA, or Choose You Own Adventure, you will follow a cat from a clan named Craneclan through a story. Along the way, you will be presented with choices. Once either a certain amount of users based on how many join have posted [Currently the number is 5] or it has been twenty-four hours, one of the choices will be picked through a random number generator and the cat will follow that option. On major choices, it is recommended to discuss with your teammates, and you get to choose by majority since the decision is so important. However, if you are to help out in choosing the fate of this cat, you must sign up on the discussion thread, link below. Houndoomwars and I will be selecting up to twelve players. Any non-choice posts are to be also put in the discussion thread.

Introduction:

Craneclan is a clan that lives in a swamp, particularly on the drier "islands" in it. The clan borders Spruceclan, a clan that lives in a taiga. The Craneclan medicine cat received dream, and they believed it meant they needed to attack Spruceclan, or Craneclan would die from a terrible Spruceclan attack. Craneclan acted upon their medicine cat's dream, believing it to be true, and attacked Spruceclan. The seemingly unprovoked attack infuriated Spruceclan, and they decided to strike the Craneclan camp in revenge. This attack destroyed the Craneclan camp, and after that, the Craneclan leader, Patchstar, in response to the tragic event, decided to announce that they would no longer have the receiving prophecies be part of the medicine cat's duty due to the pointless destruction it caused. She still allowed cats to believe in Starclan, since it would be unfair to punish them for it. However, the deeper believers in Starclan were angered by this, arguing the medicine cat could have only misinterpreted the message, and it was foolish to give up on Starclan's prophecies when they could be trying to say something important. Now, Craneclan has a rebellion forming against it, and they aren't properly prepared for it when they are still only just rebuilding from the Spruceclan attack. You are only a new Craneclan apprentice who will, at some point in this story, be able to choose which side you support in this war.

Clan Traditions:

- If more than half of the clan disapproves of the deputy chosen by the leader, the leader must choose another cat so that the clan's future leader is less likely to be potentially bad.
- When a cat goes up a rank, such as an apprentice ceremony, the clan stays silent in respect rather than cheering. This is because silence shows that everyone agrees with the cat's increase in rank.
- The final assessment is composed of three parts; hunting, fighting, and patrolling. This is so that cats can show skill in all areas and so that a cat isn't necessarily doomed if they perform badly in one area as long as they are above average in the others.
- It is actually is not extremely odd for an apprentice to not pass the final assessment. It is more common for them to pass than not, but the assessment actually can pose a challenge.
- Warriors still have training sessions, particularly in fighting. They still need to be in top form for if a battle does arise, after all.
- The clans have punishment systems to avoid bias in deciding punishments for cats' actions.

"Come on, it's time to get up! It's your big day today! First day as an apprentice! Aren't you excited!?"

You get up to see Foxpaw in front of you. She's a very loud and enthusiastic, to say the least. Still, her loud company is sometimes enjoyable, just not when you are extremely tired.

You get up and respond,"Okay, I'm up." You look at your surroundings. The den is makeshift, after the Spruceclan attack. You almost wish you were back in the nursery; the Spruceclan warriors didn't touch it so it doesn't have the drafty, hurriedly made walls. You look around at the other cats, and there are two toms in the den with you since Wasppaw is in the medicine cat den, and, including Foxpaw, two she-cats with you. You yourself are a...
