I'm thinking of making a Helena dress for Halloween since I already have all of the stuff from old costumes. If I don't do it in time for Halloween, I'll probably just wear it to some convention. Would anyone be interested in a Helena dress or makeup tutorial?

I've been trying to work out a good and cheap Helena makeup tutorial. It's really interesting to try to do makeup that resembles a dead person because I'm a mortuary science student so I take courses on the opposite and it's interesting to work backwards. I'm also trying to figure out a good way to make white foundation without using some sort of cosplay or FX makeup because I want this to be accessible to average fans, not just makeup artists and cosplayers. It's an interesting science experiment. But yeah, I probably won't have it up until much closer to Halloween because I need to order some more hues of red eye shadow. Rip.


Update- I looked on YouTube for Helena tutorials to see if I could link y'all to a good one because no promises on mine but none of them bother to do the cheeks or anything. It's all just eye shadow and not even as exaggerated as in the actual video.

She made the bracelet xD. She hired someone to make a custom fit jacket for her and found the rest of the pieces elsewhere. Would have been even more impressive if she had made it herself, but it's still really good!! I'm gonna probably steal it for spirit week at my school because one of the themes is rock music ehehe >:3

Despite the negative connotations of the MCR breakup, it is a very good album I think. Shows Gee's talent, and he is happy doing this stuff so yeah..

It actually makes me happy to see the MCR guys moving on and still making music.

I mean yeah, the breakup was super sad. I am a fully grown adult and I cried for a good while after I found out; MCR helped me through a lot of dark times and it still makes me sad and teary to think they probably won't ever make any more music (they could always pull a Fall Out Boy or NIN move and come back, though) but it would be even more depressing if they had all just quit music in general. I'm not actually really into the genre of music that Hesitant Alien is, but I think Gerard did a great job with it and it's interesting to see him evolve away from MCR's musical style. I'm also really curious to see what his next album will be like.

The breakup would have been even more depressing to me if they had just all dropped off the radar and faded away.

The break up was certainly a whole new level of depressing, because I never got to a concert ;_; I am secretly hoping that yes, they will pull a Fall Out Boy, or at least just do one more album, one more tour. But it's great that they all get to do their own stuff now, and I like how Gee still seems to be doing well for himself! Hesitant Alien is a bit different from MCR, but I still like it :3

Honestly, it wasn't even until last year that I finally stopped being so upset about the break up. For a while, I'd cry about it a lot but now I've come to terms with a lot of stuff and it doesn't affect me as much.
I would love if they would come back together but for right now, I'm thinking it's not going to happen for a while.
Ray's making his own music, Frank's fronting his own band which I think he prefers more than just being a guitar player. Gerard's just living his weird alien life and I think Mikey's just really content being engaged and in love.

Yep, that's exactly what I think. They probably won't get back together officially, but they might do one more thing out of nostalgia. Watch it happen and they do another tour with the absolute worst timing ever schedule wise or cancel in our locations as usual. Pssh, honestly even if it was bad timing due to previously planned stuff conflicting with it, I'd probably cancel what ever it was and go anyway xD But then they'd probably go and cancel too, as it seems to be their tendency....
