~Dragon Species Info~
This is where you can learn more about each breed of dragon!
The Western Dragon
Average height (Shoulder to ground): 7 Feet
Average length (Head to tail): 25 Feet
Diet: Meat, Fish
Habitat: Any
Train-ability: Easily trained
Other Info: While westerns can be greedy when it comes to their gold (just like any dragon) this is one of the more relaxed species on dragon Island. While this species can breath fire, they prefer not to, simply for the fact it makes quite the mess, and these dragons like to keep their lair's and homes clean and well kept. Westerns are wonderful flyers for beginners since they have such large wings, it makes them steady in flight.
The Eastern Dragon
Average height (Shoulder to ground): 4 feet
Average length (Head to tail): 30 feet
Diet: Fish, vegetation
Habitat: Any, but prefer locations with lots of sunning/basking places.
Train-ability: Easily trained
Personality's:Eastern dragons are a gentle kind species. They are often found drifting around on afternoon currents, high up in the air, while the sun is warm on their backs. This species does not have the ability to breath fire, but instead has a powerful levitation magic (which is how they fly with out wings) often covering their nests with floating light sources and decorations.
The Wyvern Dragon
Average height (Shoulder to ground): 8 Feet
Average length (Head to tail): 25
Diet: Meat
Habitat: Large rocky outcrops in volcanic areas
Train-ability: Easy to moderately trained
Personality's: Westerns tend to be a loner species. They are QUITE the gold horders. They can also have a quick temper, so be sure when training, you use soft and kind words. They are quite the fire breathers, and often light to light things on fire simply because it looks cool and is fun. They love the smell of smoke, so if you bring one into your home, be sure its fire proof, as well as have a fire place where they can go to, to breath fire when frustrated!
The Sea Dragon
Average height (Back to belly): 4 Feet
Average length (Head to tail): 75 Feet
Diet: Fish
Habitat: Oceans (salt water only)
Train-ability: Hard
Personality's: Sea dragons are hard to train, simply because its hard to get to them! They live in deep blue waters of the oceans, and can dive down to deep depths that even most human machines take hours to reach. Despite being so long and intimidating in size, this species is a gentle one, feasting mostly on large schools of fish. They often come up to the surface to play in the sun lit waters when it gets a little too lonely in the dark of the deep ocean.
The Drake Dragon
Average height (Shoulder to ground): 5 Feet
Average length (Head to tail): 15 Feet
Diet: Meat, Insects
Habitat: Plains
Train-ability: Moderate
Personality's: Drakes are quick moving dragons. They live in the open grassy plains, and love the feeling of sprinting around. They can be quick to snap but are very patient most of the time, so that does not happen often. They love to collect fire flies to let go at night, to light up the large grassy fields.
