Personality (In-Depth Version):
Aza seems to be somewhat stoic on the outside, deep down he really tends to be self-loathing and regretful of a lot of the things he's done. Even though he's not a bad guy, he's done things he's regretted, when he was younger and on a journey of self discovery he left his family to follow his friend Lights on intergalactic travels. Even though he learned a lot about himself and was trained in weaponry on the way, he regrets leaving his family.
He does deeply care about his family, though he fears what he could become and tends to lock himself down in a lot of ways, not letting himself live up to his full potential. It takes a really long time to get through to him, as he tends to shrug things off a lot, and not take things as seriously as he should. He is very observant though, even if he shrugs some things off, he tends to remember a lot of small things.
