Ferondir almost laughed. The excitement in her voice was tangible.
"Soon, Drimaethor, one of us, you'll meet him soon, was supposed to find some noblemen's clothing."
"I've gotten myself injured, though. I'm not fit for travel right now. Maybe all the others will decide to go on without me." The thought hadn't crossed his mind. What if they just left him here, and came back only when he was better? They didn't have any reason to wait for him. Both Zeph and Jakub were more then capable wizards. He wasn't very valuable to the team, was he? All he really did was keep Zeph from blowing things up, and he'd not been doing a good job of that recently.
"I..." Maybe he was worrying over nothing. Maybe they saw something in him that he, himself, couldn't see. "I might not come. I'd just slow everyone down in my condition."
His worry probably showed, but he continued. He looked down at his hands... wait... where was his hook? How had he not noticed it missing. He pulled up his sleeve to check, even though he knew it was gone.
"Oh dear, it must have fallen off when I hit the tree."

"Della seems to like you. Even if you're injured, why would your friends leave you here? It's not like you won't get better, and you've clearly overcome other injuries." She gestured towards his hand (or lack of one, anyway.)

Shiallia suddenly looked puzzled. "Wait, what? What fell off when you did what?"

"That was a long time ago," Ferondir said. "Maybe you're right. Maybe they'll wait for me. We will find out... later."
Were they all his... friends? He'd only had two friends until this adventure. Now that he thought about it, he did consider them friends. He had friends, how did that happen?
He smiled. "Thanks, Shiallia."

"My hook. I kinda crashed into a tree while I was flying, It must have knocked it loose."

" You can fly?!?! What kind of group is this?"What if they can all fly? I can't keep up with that! I can't do anything like that...

"Yeah, I don't think I will for a while though."
He saw her alarm.
"Don't worry, I'm one of the weird ones."

"One of? Who are the others?" Why am I talking to this kid like I've known him forever? I guess I'm just hoping to make friends. How long has it been since I've had a friend? Years, I guess. Funny, I didn't know I wanted friends until I had the chance to get some. Here's hoping they aren't bandits.

"Well, there's Zeph, I grew up with him. He's pretty mental. And then there's Guzore. He's a goron, and then we met a couple of Zoras. They're weird, but so are all of their kind. And then we have Della here. She kinda got stuck on the boat when we got attacked by bandits. And Jack, He fell out of a barrel. Only me and Zeph do weird stuff like flying. I think you'll like the Zora's. Della did." He'd never said so much in his life.

"They sound... Interesting. How is Zeph mental? I've never met a zora or a goron before, what are they like? Why was Jack in a barrel? You don't have to answer those. I usually don't talk this much, but I'm rather excited. Now, most importantly, why is some person's name Zeph? I've never heard that name before..." Wow. I must sound like an idiot...
