I like swapped-roles when they have the characters still be the characters, so I don't really like the idea of "Zelda the village girl rescues Link the prince". That being said, Link/Zelda role reversal was literally the plot of a CD-i game. (And Super Princess Peach.) Did I make sense?
I'd like to see someone do Spirit Tracks where Link loses his body, but Zelda is still a princess and all that, like that episode of the cartoon but less cheesy. ("Gee, you'd think I was destroyed or something.")
And Pokémon Wind Waker has been renamed from "A Ralts and a Boat on a Big Blue Sea" to the much more manageable title of "Secret of the Great Sea".
EDIT: I've been watching some pre-release trailers, and I REALLY love the music in the pre-release trailers. It's a lot better than the actual game, because of sound quality and all that, and I LOVE the
trailer-exclusive "dun-dee-duh" part. Makes me wish I didn't spoil the entire game for myself.
For a long time, I've had an entire fanfic's worth of ideas for a sequel that keep changing. Without spoiling too much, the ending of Spirit Tracks basically gives us a perfectly valid way that a plot-important character could be brought back. I'm starting to worry now that if Nintendo ever
do make a sequel, I will be disappointed because it would be nothing like my crazy and somewhat dark ideas. I'm also worried I'll end up regretting it. Still, an ST sequel would make a good New 3DS-exclusive or a next gen handheld game or something, but it'll probably end up burning down the entire internet.
"STOP PANDERING TO CASUAL GAMERS!" "PHANTOM HOURGLASS WAS THE WORST THING EVER FOR FOUR YEARS!" "I WANT AN OOT3!" "WHERE'S ZELDA U?" "I DEMAND MOTHER 3!"
