First touch
I waited by the front porch. Waiting for my new girl. I saw the trailer pull in. I was soooooo exited. She got out and looked cautiously around. She looked me dead in the eye and came closer. She was beautiful. She was red as lava. I knew I would name her that. She put her head down so I could touch her. U put my hand on her head and rubbed it for a minute. I walked around and took a look at her. She was strong and powerful. I put her in the end stall and fed her.

First saddle
I went early to the barn. I got all my tack and got lava out of her stall. She stood nicely and waited. I put the saddle and started on the girth. As I tightened the girth he nipped at me. She did good with the bridle. I put her in the round pin to see what she would do. She spun in circles. I guess she got really dizzy and dropped like a fly. She got up and came over to me. I made her trot around to get used to it. She got it really quick. I led her to the stable and untacked her. I let her in the field and let her graze for the night.

First ride
I went to tack up. She made a MESS of her stall. I took her out and tacked her up. She did somewhat better. I walked to the arena. As I got on she stood super still. I asked her to walk on and she still stood there so I grabbed the crop. I have her a tap and she walked slowly. I warmed her up and set jumps to a beginner level. She trotted with a few taps on the butt with the crop. She trotted them well so I cantered her some. She had a big stride and cleared everything I set for her. She was my new jumper for sure. I cooled down and dismounted. I took her and untracked her. I put her in the stall after I cleaned it. I said see ya later and turned out the lights.
