You are a member of a wild herd, your kind having run through these mountains and valleys for decades. You are safe within your band, protected by your stallion and led by your lead mare, roaming the lands as they see fit and raising your young until they can strike out on their own. It may not be the easiest of lives, riddled with it's own horrors and danger, but it's your life, and you wouldn't trade it for anything.
This Role Play will have four bands to begin with and practically a sandbox for your own miniplots.

*Seasons will depend on how the playing goes, breeding and birthing will open up when I see fit. Foal genders, coat colors, and ect will be deiced by Bearcoon for now, but may be subject to change and I am very open to hints/suggestions as to what you want the foal to be.*
Realistically speaking, a herd (in the grand sense) is comprised of smaller groups of horses, called bands, all of which share the same general territory. Each band is protected fearlessly by it's lead stallion, and led by it's lead mare, comprising of anywhere between 3-10 horses.
The stallion's role in the band is basically this – Protect his mares, reproduce with them, and possibly acquire more mares by stealing them from other bands. His is not an easy life, always having to be on the outskirts of the band looking for lurking danger, but he gets by just fine.
The Lead Mare's role in the band is the highest ranking for any, she gets the best grazing, the first drink of any water, and makes most of the rules for the rest of the mares. Love has nothing to do with it, she's the lead mare because she fought for her position, she has the common sense to lead, and the means to enforce her rules.
The mare's role in the band is simple – Follow the lead mare, produce foals, and live life. When the colts and fillies become old enough to breed they are chased away by the stallion, sent of to either join another band or start one of their own. Younger stallions will at times challenge an older one to take over his band, a dangerous game for both parties involved.
