Ferondir of Mira -- Academy - Mira Village
He walked back out onto his balcony. Marcus was walking by down on the street, caring a basket of something. This town was always so placid and peaceful. There was never anything going on. Everyone in Mira Village just... lived.
But not him. He'd just been halfway across Hyrule, fighting a ghost.
"Now that I'm back, I miss that." He missed adventuring, he missed his newfound friends.
Why? said a voice in his head.
"I've gotten to know them pretty well, you know?" He paused. Wait...
A voice in his head.
A voice in his head.
It is I. We met in the dream of thy friend.
Oh yeah. That ancient creature thing.
"Where are you?" He looked around.
In your pocket.
"In my...?" He patted his pockets until he found the jar. "I'd forgotten about that."
I assisted in your forgetfulness.
"Great, now I have a ancient spirit from before time stuck in my head." Wait until his friends hear this.
Oh, His friends were all back in Arbour Harbor. He'd best get back to them.
He packed his bag and leaped off the balcony. Might as well show off on his way out.
He heard a few gasps and some laughter, as he shot above the streets.
He smiled. They'll be telling that one to for a long time.
He spun onto his back.
"Look at those clouds." I wonder what they're made of.
As he flew higher, he felt himself becoming more exhausted.
"I'd better get to the Harbor before I run out of energy."
He decided he'd have enough to make it there, so he flew up to the clouds.
"It's just fog." Cold, wet, thick fog.
He dropped a few dozen feet. He laughed. All his life, he'd thought fog and clouds were totally different.
"Time to go."
He felt way too cold flying wet, so he used the spell he'd used on the others and dried himself.
He swooped down until all the clouds were above him.
"Arbour Harbor."
He could see everything from up here. The world was nothing like the many maps in his room. They couldn't depict the beautiful, spine-like, mountains, covered in trees that resembled the hair of some great beast. Underneath of him he could see the lake. He was right over it. If his strength failed him now...
"Best stay on the coast."
He followed the coast until he saw the Harbor, but by then, his vision started to blur, he needed air. He needed rest.
"Just a bit further."
He let the spell off until his was almost touching the trees.
"Almost there."
He couldn't keep up the spell much longer. A throbbing pain erupted in his head and had grown to an almost unbearable level.
George!
He put on one more spurt of speed and fought to remain conscious. He lost control of his flight.
George! Watch out for that tree!
Spinning at high speed, he smashed into something big, and bounced off. It was a tree not two hundred feet in front of the city.
Before he had fallen to the ground, his mind had fallen into the void.
A guard came running up to him.
"Hey, guys!" the guard said. "I think he's dead!" Who could have survived a fall like that? Where'd he fall from?
Two other guards and a traveling merchant ran to his side.
"Let me through," the merchant said. "I can tell you if he's dead."
They let him pass, and he bent down, and pressed his fingers into wrist. "He's alive." he said. "But we mustn't move him."
"What kind of merchant are you?"
"I sell healing potions and herbs, as well as healing. Just don't move him at all until I return." He ran off toward town.
A few people saw what had happened and the news started spreading.
"A boy from Mira Village?"
"Isn't he a wizard?"
"I saw him crash into a tree."
