I had my trusty brother weigh in, and he mentioned that the Collars, from what we've heard, aren't really all that threatening.

Help the cat:

Pro-
*Possiblity of gaining a traveling companion
*Gaining reputation by being brave and
walking in to the mass of kittypets
*Save the cat

Con-
*We could get really hurt
*Get overwhelmed and chased off
which damages reputation
*The cat is actually bad
*That cat possiblity being bad
could backstab us in the future

Just keep walking:

Pro-
*Conflict with the collars avoided
*Let a bad cat die
*Avoid damaged reputation (this may
Vary)

Con-
*A good cat dies
*lose possible gain in information
*Damanged rep. (This again varies)

I'm most likely missing things but there is a lot of cons in helping the cat- but from the post- they all seem uneasy of Asterpaw- so if we help the cat- we can get info out of it and decide if it is bad or not- bring it to ol Charlie if we need to know what's up- or even star and Kimmy

I may just sleep on it, I really don't want to make rash decisions. I bet Arcaii is chuckling at our attempts to figure this out- a couple of us may be over thinking it XD (myself being one of them)

I think the only thing stopping me from saying to help the cat is- why did the street cats and the collars both call the cat a rat, the cat is obviously not liked, so why? What did it do? *siiiiigh* im gonna go to sleep- so I will give my desision tomorrow. G'night

I find it unlikely the cat could turn out to be all that bad. They call it an "annoying rat", and not something that would suggest a more threatening cat. Also, notice that it's an annoying rat to the Collars, who are far from the good side.

You guys are wonderful. I was totally expecting people to just post without consideration. This is such a pleasant surprise.

As perhaps the most self-indulgent present ever, here's a Charlie.

I have a secret love for giant cats who are also fat. One I met is what sparked the idea for Charlie's character, honestly.

That's correct. I was actually struggling with the group for a moment because I didn't have any fitting fan-cats, but this one was perfect to be at the front.

Oh, and to clear up any confusion - this is our second potential traveling companion. Do with that what you will.
