Choices:
1: Snap whose neck?
2: Star is your name?
3: Snap whose neck?
4: Snap whose neck?
5: Won't take what?
6: Snap whose neck?
7: Snap whose neck?
8: Snap whose neck?
Roll says... 6: Snap whose neck?
"Whose neck are we snapping?" you say, a little more jokingly than you intended.
Kimmy rolls her eyes. "Just some little pest. It's like the most annoying rat in history."
"Not quite a rat," Star murmurs.
"Close enough."
"Yes."
You stand up, ignoring the last few bites of your meal and trying to keep your voice calm. "Where, do you know?"
"The Collars' digs, where else?" Kimmy shakes her head. "They wouldn't chase it anywhere else."
"Thank you for the meal," you say evenly. "I should go."
"Have a good night, Kiddo," Star says.
"I'm not- I'm Asterpaw."
"Asterpaw?" Kimmy squints at you. You quietly remember that your name is just as strange to them as theirs are to you.
"Have a good night, then, Asterpaw," Star corrects. She nods at you once before turning back to Kimmy to talk. You trot off a little faster than you meant to.
You're glad you visited the Collared Crew's territory yesterday, because it's still fresh in your memory, but it's much farther off than you thought it was. Something in your head is urging you to hurry, though you don't know why. You try to reason with yourself by recalling that Star mentioned "within the week". You have time.
When you finally arrive, you hear yowling. Perhaps not.
You run to the source of the noise - the middle alley, where a cluster of cats are shouting. You have to balance on your back foot to see what's going on. You see a white-and-black cat facing away from the group, growling at something that has two bright eyes.
You accidentally bump into one of the cats when you fall back down. The tom snarls at you in surprise and the entire group immediately falls silent and turns to face you. Even the patched cat looks up briefly before cursing and stomping one of his feet down. The bright eyes flinch.
You can tell with one look why everyone scorns this group - they all have the soft features of those who've never had to fight for their meal, and all of them are adorned with brand new collars. You swallow your immediate contempt and stare back at them as evenly as possible.
"What's going on?" you ask quietly.
"Killing a rat," one of them responds, trying to sound indifferent. You can see her shuffle uncomfortably under your gaze.
"Really." You raise your head, trying to look past them, but they're all too big. Politely, a few duck their heads to let you see.
You can't tell exactly what they're killing, even as accustomed to the darkness as you are, but it's certainly not a rat. Its unsettling eyes are feline, and from the position, you hazard a guess that this is a very young cat. Your gut broils.
"What's the matter?" A tom speaks up next, voice wavering. "'Sjust a pest."
"I've been hearing that," you mutter, more to yourself than anything.
There's way too many cats for you to take on here, but maybe their obvious lack of experience can work in your favor. You half wonder if this is even your business to begin with.

(OOC: See those red exclamation points? This is your indicator that the following options are going to potentially have immediate consequences. This may be as slight as one point of a certain stat knocked off, or as severe as the death of a character. It is heavily recommended, especially in the future, to converse with your fellow players before making a collective decision.
There are two main differences between these options and the rest of the ones you will receive. Firstly, your choices will not be randomly selected as per usual - whichever command receives the most votes will be chosen. Secondly, you, as players, can make a mistake here. There are right and wrong choices, and at least one of the characters will suffer if you choose wrongly.
This first example is probably going to be your most obvious, but keep in mind that you will not be told which choice is the better one in the future. You will have to figure them out for yourselves.)
They're coming with me.
As you will, then.
