I'm not so sure if i would like it though.
Its about ninjas and stuff (well thats what she told me)
Do you guys think i should give it a chance?

Lemme tell you the basis of the storyline: Naruto gets possessed as a kid and gets kitty whiskers. He does all he can to wash them off, but it doesn't work; so he cries. The tears wash away the kitty whiskers and he's happy.

(But hey, could you blame me? I haven't started watching it yet.)

this is a beautiful synopsis of naruto.
it covers all the key aspects of the series, i mean there is really nothing more you need to know.

I love Naruto and I will obviously tell you to watch it but since I have no idea what your likes are so I don't know if you'll like it or not. You may want to give it a try at least, and if you want skip the fillers (seriously, just skip all the fillers). If you like the classic, you'll love Shippuden, it's way better in every single aspect.
Yes, it's about ninjas and yes, Naruto kinda gets possessed by a nine tailed 'demon' fox the day he was born (the same day of the death of both his mom and dad) and because of that people looked down on him during his childhood but then he manages to enter the ninja academy and makes friends and becomes a ninja and then becomes a hero and blah blah blah, you know how the story goes...
It's a mainstream anime so there's a lot of love as well as a lot of hate and I have to admit it does have its flaws, but I still think it's worth watching.
Also, I'd suggest watching shippuden's sixth opening, that's the best part of the whole anime, the one with the most action and the saddest moments.

Technically Italy is the main character. Hetalia means useless and adorable Italy. He joins a group named the Axis which has Japan ang Germany which Italy calls Doitsu. People ship Germany and Italy. Lemme tell you a bit about them. Germany wakes up super early and loves to train. Italy hates to wake up early, LOVES pasta and is really useless in fighting. Japan is a Kuudere (cool and calm on the outside but sweet in the inside). He has a katana and is extremely responsible. During the story, there are comedic fights such as England and France's ongoing rivalry, Hungary and Prussia grow closer as Prussia finds out Hungary's a girl. Won't spoil any more, <3
