Name : Lúyú
Gender : Mare
Personality :
Lúyú is a little eccentric, but an overall nice mare. She's been known as eccentric ever since she was put in the stables, mostly because she followed wolf tracks into the woods. At night. She loves to lend a helping hand, but she mostly keeps to herself. Instead of approaching others, she observes them from afar, picking apart their strengths and weaknesses by watching the way they move, act, and eventually getting to know how they think. She’s never been outgoing, and never really had any friends other than her mother at her old stables. She cares deeply for others well-being, and worries about them much more than herself.
She always been selfless like that, putting others before herself. She once pushed a foal out of the way of a rolling barrel, preferring getting hit herself because ‘she was bigger and could take it’. Lúyú had scolded the foal for not paying attention afterwards, of course. Her father always taught her to stand up for herself, so even though she cared for others, it didn’t stop her from kicking a few stallions. She always is fascinated by things that others fear. She loves wolves, thinking of them highly for their intelligence and coordination. Coyotes also earn her respect, as she knows their much smaller and weaker, it’s amazing they can survive at all. She always lends a hoof where it’s needed. Betwixt doesn’t have many friends, but she’s proud to say she has made a few in her new farm. It’s a great feat for her, and she’s both proud and grateful.
Word Count: 262Opinion On Dragons :
Dragons. That word alone is enough to send Lúyú into a frenzy. She loves the creatures and always wants to hear more about them. She heard about them for the first time because of the little girl that visited the farm. The little girl had walked into the pasture with a basket. Lúyú had followed the little girl at a distance until the girl got to her favorite oak tree. It was large with its branches stretching in all directions, providing shade for all. The little girl had pulled a blanket out of the basket first, setting it down spread out next to the trunk of the tree. Next, the little girl had pulled out a bottle and an apple, putting those next to her after she sat with her back against the tree. Finally, the little girl had pulled out a thick book. Interested, being the curious mare she was, Lúyú had approached slowly.
The little girl had given her a wide smile and tossed the apple gently so it rolled to her hooves. Then, the girl Lúyú had dubbed ‘Apple’ opened the book and read. It was enchanting. Apple read of eggs stolen from the French, hatching at sea, and of flying and fishing. She read of a dragon that spoke English, and of a sea captain who took responsibility for it. She read of a great war and the way dragons helped so many people. Lúyú had hung on to every word. Ever since that day, she loved and respected dragons, telling the foals about them before bed even with the disapproving looks from other mares.
Word Count: 269 One Extra :
The day she followed the wolf track was an interesting one. She had heard the humans speaking of it and the fact that they usually hunted in packs. Lúyú had been covering the tracks it had been leaving every night. She felt slightly bad for the chickens and pigs being eaten, but she knew they would have been eaten by the humans anyway. Each night she would jump the fence and pick up a branch from one of the trees. Then she would find the wolfs tracks and sweep them away. Today was different though, because the tracks were in the pasture leading into the woods. She didn’t get the chance to sweep them that night because the humans found her and put her back in her stalls.
The next morning she came out into the pasture with the others and instantly checked the tracks. They were still there, albeit slightly covered by human tracks. With a deep breath, Lúyú followed them until she had reached the far side of the pasture that was right by the woods. She had followed even then, disregarding the fence the humans hadn’t fixed yet completely. She could hear the others trying to get her to stop, but she had to sate her curiosity. So she followed into the darkness of the woods, a shiver of joy running through her at the thought of finding the wolf and speaking to it. So she walked and walked and walked until the sun was starting to go down. She was disappointed, but she forced the feelings away.
And then the bushes behind her rustled and she whipped around in time to see a panicked injured wolf run out of it. She could now hear the humans pursuing it, so with a gesture she led it to a hollow stump she had seen on her way. The wolf obeyed without question. The humans passed by where they were hiding (Lúyú had laid down behind some bushes) and they both gave a sigh of relief. That was the start of their friendship.

Show Name : Evanescent Dream
Name : Oblivion
Gender : Stallion
Personality :
Oblivion is a quiet, reserved stallion. He doesn’t speak very much and when you ask him something, he replies in one word answers as much as possible. He generally avoids the others, preferring to keep to himself by the fence. He doesn’t talk of his past, and if you ask him about it he’ll simply walk away. Oblivion doesn’t feel joy. Ever since an accident, he has been like this. In the accident, he lost his mate and two foals, along with his parents. Even his humans died. He was he only survivor. His human had let them all out together and they had been speaking. His human had been leaning on his shoulder. And then it had happened. A trucks tire had popped and he had swerved and then rolled. It had broken through the fence and hit them dead on. The only reason Oblivion survived is that he was at the back of the group.
He had had lots of injuries, and a serious one made him unable to enter cross country competitions… ever again. Ever since then, Oblivion wasn’t the same. He lost his kind and easy disposition and simply stood near the area his family had died in. He stares blankly at the spot now, not leaving unless he is pulled away by the humans. His dream of cross country is gone, his family is gone, and his rider is gone. He feels… empty.
Word Count: 238 Favourite Song :
Smother by Daughter. He had heard it on the radio his human carries around. It was a soft song that was hard to hear at that distance and even more so on the noisy farm, but Oblivion had. He had heard and related and
connected with it. The girl in the song sang with such emotion, and seemed to feel exactly how he felt. He felt as he had found a friend. Ever since then, he’s taken the radio whenever he can, hoping it will play that song again. The humans are amused that he spends so much time with it, but he only wants to hear the song that touched him.
Word Count: 112 One Extra :
My dreams are crushed and forgotten.
They have been trampled and left for dead.
They couldn’t survive the pressure,
And they were sunken, pushed under the bed.
I should’ve listened to your advice
And made them all come true,
But alas I didn’t and now you see
I have nothing more to do.
I am empty without my dreams,
A broken lonely shell.
I will not ask for your advice again,
I will take this punishment and toll the bell.
The bell signals my defeat,
A sad cry in the wind.
The bell will toll forever more
For I shan’t get up again.
No, I shall disperse into the void,
Never to be seen once more.
I will accept my evanescence,
And leave to oblivion's shore.
