Dear Diary,
Aha, no, we are NOT calling you a 'diary'. Not with my current situation, at least.
By current situation I mean I'm starting highschool. Again.
I'm starting again because of some... issues... at my last highschool. My parents worked their tails off trying to earn enough money to send me to the fancy private school here in Pawford. It's called Crystalline Heights High, and yes, from what I saw of the orientation, it's every bit as fancy as it sounds.
Which is exactly why I won't fit in.
I suppose I should introduce myself- my name is Lillian, Lillian Lancaster-Small. This is me.

I'm sixteen years old, and I'm a junior. My hobbies including writing, reading, stargazing and listening to ambient sounds. I know, I know, I sound boring. I promise, I'm more than I appear. I used to be a cheerleader at my old school, before the queen bee decided to take arms against me. I guess she didn't like people showing her up.
I suppose I should introduce my family, too.

This is my mum and my dad; Joeline Lancaster and Roscoe Small. They're not married, but they've been together for twenty years now, and they say they don't need a ring to make their union official. Mum is the chief of police, and Dad's a commercial fisherman, so he's away a lot. Surprisingly enough, it was my Aunt Dolly who gave me this diary.

This is her. She's Mum's younger sister and she's a little... quirky... to say the least. She runs an aquarium where people can buy fish, and she absolutely loves couture fashion! She's super funny and lovely, although she and Mum fight a lot because Mum's a bit more... serious than she is. I love them both, anyway.

Finally, you have my sisters, Summer and Fira. Summer is only two, but she was diagnosed with PPS syndrome, so that means she won't ever grow to look past ten years old. Fira is my older sister, she's eighteen and she's a senior in high school, but she still goes to Pawford high, the public school that I used to go to. She's popular there, and all of her teachers like her because she's a good student. She stuck up for me as much as possible, and I really adore her, even if we bicker sometimes.
I trust her. Which is why I'm worried.
Fira told me some things about Crystalline Heights (from now on abbreviated to CH because it's sooo long!!) that make me a little worried. First of all, there are houses. Like, from the Harry Potter novels, only they're randomly selected and have nothing to do with anything, really. Each of the houses are really competitive, and there are a bunch of games they play over the course of the year, as well as a final tournament where each house must offer up a team of four competitors to compete for the house cup! It sounds so exciting, so that doesn't really have me worried.
(Mum even requested I be in Verne, the red house. Yes!!!)
What has me worried is that Fira said she used to date a senior who went there, Maxwell. His sister Madeline is a junior, and she runs the school! Right from freshman year, she took over the old queen bee's job. Fira says they're really pompous at CH, and the queen bee of the school sorts everyone into 'cliques'! Ahhh!
I'm kind of worried about that, but I don't want to jump to any conclusions about it...
I suppose I should sign off for the night - I need some sleep for my big day!
Good night, Personal Account! (PA for short!)
