I'm not that old... but does anyone remember that time period where everyone was obsessed with sunbacks? I swear everyone wanted one. I think it was in late 2012-mid 2013?
It used to be everyone's dream pet, they were like the Shima Longtails and Black Advents of today.

I remember a lot of hype pets. Like the christmas donkey pps and almost all the lions that ever were released. And the burnt dogs, geez, I've overpaid heavily for my little hoard of them. There was also a time when everyone wanted a Nick Unicorn and fruits.

I guess the Sunback hype was around the time I completed my collection in 2012. I have no clue which pets are in demand right now. I see that people recently got a thing for the white feb's and BA's have been sought after for years. I'm not into trading pets with a value like that anymore, though.

Question to all: If you had to restart entirely, would you?

I think I would. Sometimes I wish I could still feel the excitement when I reached the last 5 pages of my wishlist and was so close to a complete collection, but still there were some pets to go. I try to keep myself entertained with hoards, but it's not the same.

I did restart entirely! I first joined way back in May '09, but after having a near complete collection I gave pretty much everything away, including my July & August '08's xD
I love restarting - it's easy for me ... run an art shop; get some rare pets; build up a collection; give them away.... cycle continues haha!
It can be painful to look at the archives and think "I once had that... and that... and I can't believe the prices that's going for today!"
But giving someone a super rare pet for free, without them expecting it, is one of the best feelings ever <3

I'm a total noob and I really wish I'd joined earlier I adopted ONE pet in 2009 I think but I didn't make an account... xD

I think adopted it under the name "Krissy" Which is my nickname,
I don't remember what pet it was, though. god... I regret it so much xD I should have made an account and adopted everything i could... xD haha

then of course I forgot about the site for a long time ;u; and joined not so long ago as an official member ;v;
I envy people who joined that early, but I suppose it has downsides too
and i can't draw to save my life! *sigh* >w>

NO! I joined in 08, but only started getting really active in 09 and I missed a lot of pets. I want the whole collection, nearly 5-6 years later, I am still struggling to finish my collection!
Plus back when I first started, people were nicer when it came to trading, nowadays, trading is so much work and people are so picky!

I remember that! I don't get many birthday gifts on CS but it was that year where I got 4 gifts I believe. After the storm happened and wiped out the servers, the server only had data of one gift being given to me (I still have it cx). I guess just the thought of others gifting me for my birthday in enough and I'm grateful for that, but it'd be nice if I could of kept my birthday gifts. xD

Back when CS was new, I mean new. My cousin and made an account, We named it "Coolpick* As in toothpick. Anyways, I remember playing and I literally sat for hours, Trying to get a cool pound pet. I actually was lucky. OMGSR Bee. And the old layout was the best. So .. Well.. Pretty! I also liked the chats. But then crazy people Ruined it. Anyways. Try beating that lame story

Also, I remember when rollovers happened. It was like hell on earth.. And I got annoyed when I didn't get the outcome I wanted. Ahhh, The god old days

Nice story, but isn't the bee quite recent? The site layout was about the same as it is today xD

The Pound system was added to CS in December 2008, the "CSGreen" (bright green) website layout replaced the tan one in August 2009.
The UR Bumblebee was released in December 2013.

Oh my, the "Lost Friday". I was on a class trip in London when that happened. I remember sitting on my bed while everyone else was in a hurry to organize themselves, just waiting for the server to come back from server hell.
T'was also the day my laptop's charging cable broke.

No way! I like what I managed to achieve in my past years here, and I'd be horrified to have to start over from scratch. I'm way too attached to my account and everything on it xD
