Guys, can somebody help me sort out this confusion? In episode 46 of the original series, originally episode 49, but changed due to the ban of episode 18, the one where James was cross dressing, episode 35, which had firearms as part of the plot, and episode 38, which caused children in Japan to suffer from seizures due to flashing red and blue lights. In this episode, a trainer with a Farfetch'd uses it to steal Pokemon from trainers, including Misty and Team Rocket. When Team Rocket's Poke Balls start to float away, there are three, Jessie owning a second one, being her Lickitung. However, from what I understand, Lickitung wasn't caught until episode 52, or in my case 49. Is this one of the dubbing errors that were quite common back in the original series? Because I went on Bulbapedia and it does not list this as an error on the episode.

Guys, listen to this, up until Generation VI, there was a glitch involving Azurill's evolution into Marill

Since Azurill has a different gender ratio than Marill and Azumarill, one in three female Azurill will be male after evolving into Marill, dependent on the personality value of the Azurill in question, though this no longer happens in Generation VI.

I'm glad they fixed that glitch. Now if only they'd fix the problem with Nidorina and Nidoqueen.

Should the two Nidoran species be merged into one Pokémon with a single Dex entry and a gender based branched evolution line?
Personally, I think yes, because my logic behind why Nidorina and Nidoqueen can't breed is this. They never had genders present in Gen I, but they had a male Nidoran and a female Nidoran. When they officially added gender in Gen II, they screwed up the coding in some way that made the Nidoran egg unable to determine which gender it would be. So I think they should have merged Nidoran♀ and Nidoran♂ into a single Nidoran species, and allowed Nidorina and Nidoqueen to be able breed an egg that would hatch like any other, with the gender ratio deciding what gender it would be, the new single Nidoran having a 50/50 chance of being male or female, but only males evolve into Nidorino, and females evolve into Nidorina. This may seem complicated, but imagine it like trying to evolve a Combee, only females evolve. In the case of Nidoran, it evolves into a different Pokémon depending on its gender, instead of being unable to evolve if it's the wrong one.

What did you do when you encountered a Shiny for the first time?

Aaaaaahh!
I regretted this after I found out about shinies and how they were rare ;^;
Okay, so this was a couple years ago. I was playing Pokémon Diamond, and I was in a cave. I don't exactly know what cave, I haven't play it in a couple years. But I know there were Golbats. But anyway, I was using surf and I encountered a Golbat, it was green with purple wings. I thought it was a glitch because at the time my DS was being all glitchy. So I used surf on it and made it faint, I didn't actually know if I should be proud of myself; because it looked like a glitch to me.
A year or two later I'm watching Pokemon videos and it suggest this one video that had to do with shinies, I watch it and think they're pretty cool. Later on I find out about Golbat's shiny and see that it looked exactly like the one I saw in my Diamond Version. That's when I found out I made a shiny Pokémon faint.
And the worst part is that so far that was the only shiny I've actually encountered.

hah, i had something like that happen to me too.
while in a cave a shiny geodude appeared.
i started screaming and flailing my arms and got my mightyena to use false swipe.
so its health went down all the way down except for a little bit.

and then guess what.
the stupid geodude did the worst thing.

he used self destruct.

My first legit Shiny was a female Charmander that I received from Professor Sycamore. So obviously I did what any sane person would do. I fainted from excitement.
