i'm a non-owner who'd love to adopt my first plumie into a loving home. if i get hana, i promise i'll care well for her. and draw her a lot. (i caught myself doodling her in math class the other day!) regardless of who wins, though, i wish everyone good luck. everyone has an amazing form and each would be a perfect fit for this perfect gal!
now, enough about me and my personal hopes and wishes, let's get on to hana.

one/two word explanation: a social butterfly is one who interacts with many people in short periods of time, but tends not to have too many super close friends. this is true of hana, as she talks to almost everyone she happens upon, but rarely makes long-term connections. this can be for a variety of reasons, but she doesn't mind, as long as she's meeting new people daily who can absorb hana's new ideas!

ten word explanation: quixotic -- idealistic and impractical. hana often believes that her ideals and thoughts are the only right way of doing something. she won't pressure it on to others, but could get confused or offended when someone disagrees with her way of thinking.
jealous -- this one is self-explanatory. when hana thinks that someone's doing something better than her, jealousy can creep in at the seams. 'why didn't i think of that?'
talkative -- don't feel awkward if hana randomly approaches you and begins talking about north african butterfly migrations. that's what's on her mind right now, she probably read it in an ad or on a newspaper that's been carelessly tossed onto a table in her coffee shop. she wants to see if anyone else shares this 'interest' or even see how your day's going!
defensive --if someone questions any of hana's actions, she'll start to put up barriers, especially if she's known who she's talking to for a while. hana will talk loudly at someone to disprove their point, which can be almost intimidating, and can come off as surprising behaviour for hana.
egotistic -- hana has a huge ego. she does everything right, without question, and her open-mindedness is the only correct way to be. when she states she has room for improvement, it's cool, but when others do, it's un-cool.
passionate -- hana can easily get engaged with someone who has the same interests as she does. then, she can strike up an intense conversation about whichever world issue is on her mind today. or they can just talk about tumblr themes. no big difference there.
curious -- hana wants to know everything about everyone out there. this is one of her more child-like traits, if you say something or exhibit some sort of behaviour that she's never come across, she'll probably want to hand you a coffee mug so she can sit down and learn more things about you. funnily enough, though, this curiosity never applied to hana's schooling. she'd never ask 'why' a function in calculus worked one way or another. rather, this trait only applies to hana's interest in human nature.
patient -- contrary to popular belief, hana actually enjoys when the other person talks more (as long as they're not taking jabs at hana, mind you). hana can get more information to satiate her curiosity and to formulate a 'superior' response to defend her ego. it's like killing two birds with one stone. hana wouldn't do that, though, she'd probably just talk at the birds until they fell out of the sky.
shameless -- hana bears full responsibility to whatever comes tumbling out of her mouth, nonsense or not. after she talks at you in anger or sadness, she'll rattle off a long string of apologies and then move on. when she talks to people, she rarely cringes or reflects on anything she's said in the past. hana is someone you like to call living in the moment. relationships to come or relationships in the past don't matter -- she can say whatever she wants to whoever she's with now.
eager -- this plumie is eager about anything and everything social. as you can see, she's a far cry from an introvert and fits her designation of extrovert like the word was made for her.
quirks: hana tends to fidget when she's listening to other people talk. it's not that she's impatient, it's a way of her coming up with her own responses to whatever views and opinions the speaker is expressing.
favourite food: hana likes to eat yogurt in the mornings, particularly if it's flavoured with strawberry. she often puts yogurt on granola to make her 'signature' yogurt parfait, which is also similar to an item served in her coffee shop.
favourite drink: wow, coffee? who would have guessed? however, she rarely drinks caffeinated coffee. she's gotten used to being awake for whichever hours she must work, and doesn't want to depend upon only caffeine to keep her alive. besides coffee, though, if she can put any drink in one of her mugs she'll likely eat, er, drink it!
religion: hana was raised by christian parents, but her family rarely went to church altogether. if you ask her now, she'll talk briefly about possibilities of higher powers but will never confirm or deny if she has faith in any particular god(s).

reason for moving: raised in mountain view, california, close to silicon valley as computers and internet spiked to popularity, hana had exposure to technology even from a young age. the brightness of a computer screen, the technology that provided hana with her information, all of it frustrated her. she's an extravert, a social butterfly, and would rather debate face-to-face than in a chatroom. after school ended for the plumie, then, she wanted to get away. go somewhere where she could be herself and meet lots of new people with exciting opinions to agree or disagree about.
what better place to move, then, than to new york city? here, in the social hub of the united states, hana can meet all the people she wants to meet. it's truly a place for extraverts.
occupation: nothing permanent yet! hana is living on her own in this large city to try and navigate life and see what she wants to do. for now, though, she's a barista at a quaint coffee shop, 'fur and feathers café,' which serves drinks in hand-painted coffee mugs. hana will often chat with her fellow workers about whatever was on the front page of the newspaper -- or in this case, her news app -- on a regular basis. this job excites hana because she gets so many opportunities to meet new people.
hobbies and interests: hana runs a blog in her spare time. she often enjoys creating html blog themes, although usually bases said themes off of one template she's made so she doesn't have to work alone in front of the glow of her laptop for too long. often, she'll incorporate bright and adventurous style choices into said designs, which can annoy some who prefer to post their own photography or lighter-coloured, pastel if you will, content. if hana's coding is criticized, however, her ego could be insulted and her short fuse could ignite. she's not going to immediately start yelling at you, but might loudly talk at you for a few minutes, this is her way of cooling off. she'll probably end up going off on so much of a tangent that thoughts of whatever angered her may dissipate from her mind and she'll talk to you about something else.
sometimes, hana wishes she had longer hair. braiding people's hair, or even just brushing it out, can relax her (and maybe get her to focus and stop talking for once) as well as being an enjoyable pastime. however, all the walking around in the hot summer of the city gets her fur tangled and sweaty quite easily -- it'd be hard to smooth out. sometimes a friend will willingly let her run a brush through their hair.
hana has attempted to paint, her preferred style being something abstract that can still pack a punch. even her big ego, however, doesn't prevent her from realizing that her art doesn't come close to having qualifications necessary for it to hang on a museum wall anytime soon.
hana's other interests are fairly normal for an eighteen year old. she does collect coffee mugs, as her café sometimes has them on sale, and she enjoys hanging out with friends. nothing too abnormal lies in her interests. hana can cook, hana can write -- decently, the pieces usually end up full of run-on sentences -- and hana loves walking around and talking to whoever she might meet.
living quarters: hana lives in an apartment on the fifth floor of a building. it has one bedroom - she rarely has guests - a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room (she eats in here!), and a living room. there's also an 'office' of sorts which she rarely uses, as her current job requires her to be out of the house for hours on end. only basic amenities are provided, but it's still a great place for an eighteen year old fresh out of her house. and provided that new york city is expensive, the plume is certainly glad her job pays her a decent amount. however, she does wish she earned more, prompting her to apply for universities so she can receive qualifications to work better jobs. this fall she's been filling out lots of applications in her spare time.
hana has put up colourful curtains and a few paintings that appeal to her, but most of her clutter is contained within her room's shelves. these shelves are piled high with abandoned endeavours. although she tends to tire of old items after a few weeks, she never seems to have the heart to get rid of most of them. they do provide interesting topics of discussion, though!
hopes and dreams: hope is a funny word. now, if you asked hana what her hopes were, a variety of words could tumble out of her mouth. however, at the moment, this plumerian is still finding her place in the world. these hopes of hers, hopes to know everyone in her city, hopes to win a world record, are really no more than dreams. hana lives in the moment. her hopes for the future are transferred into what she does in her day-to-day life, talking to others, adding another mug to her collection. this is how she tends to achieve her hopes and dreams and innermost ambitions -- by doing them a bit at a time, focusing on them today instead of tomorrow.
fears or phobias: thanatophobia, the fear of death. now, hana knows she'll die sometime in the future, and she's not afraid of that part of death. it happens, but not now, now hana is showing a friend from work around her unassuming yet somewhat charming appartment.
this fear of death is different. hana doesn't want to die right now. hana's scared she'll fall onto the subway tracks, or contract cancer in her heart before she turns 85. hana is afraid of everything stopping before she's ready to leave the present. which she isn't. hana is a creature of here and now.
this also extends to funerals. in a funeral, you see mourning, weeping, the person was alive but a week ago. this can set hana on edge, as if they were alive a week ago, will the plume be alive a week from now?
something about her that no one else knows: hana went through a phase where she would refuse to leave her house unless she was wearing a dress and a tiara. this lasted from ages 4.5-6.5. however, now, hana opts for more casual dresses or tshirts in the summer. looks like this was just a phase.

relationships with lioncourt's plumerians-

rozovyy: his hair. if it was possible to be sexually attracted to hair, hana would be head over heels for him, and come live as close to him as humanly possible so she could brush it out as often as possible. as said, though, they haven't spoken much to date. he'd been drawn into her coffee shop (for whatever reason, and said same reason as to why he was in new york in the first place) due to the trinkets that adorned the walls, some of them sporting beautiful shiny or natural looks. after asking for some kind of strong coffee, he proceeded to mutter a few words. more specifically, he attempted to flirt with hana. of course, rozovyy didn't actually harbor any feelings for hana at all, he was just bored and either overly awake or overly sleepy. she'd misinterpreted his statements, however, and began to hold a conversation with him full of bright and passionate ideas sparked by her young mind. with a shrug, he handed over his number, and left with his coffee. they now talk occasionally, but are no means considered friends.
araceli: hana likes to hang around with araceli -- at least when the other plumerian's in a good mood. she likes the flair that araceli brings into anyone's life, and seeing as she shares a couple of traits with the other, hana has been able to talk to araceli a few times. they bumped into each other once on the crowded subway of nyc, and hana being as talkative as she is struck up a conversation about the improvements needed on the subway system. curious about this pink plumie, araceli listened for a while but quickly grew bored of the repetitive long sentences that tumbled out of hana's smiling mouth. the issues in their friendship are that both can have quite a temper in some instances, and that the adventuresome araceli can try to drag hana into some adventures too big for the young plumie who's just finding her place in the world. curiosity can't stretch as far as a truly adventurous spirit, which hana doesn't have. sure, she's willing to move within her home country, but she'd never fly halfway across the world for the heck of it (without a return ticket). not that araceli would either, but the point has been made. hana will listen for hours on end to whatever adventure araceli is describing, but when hana tries to mirror these descriptions, there's too much language and not enough action and it gets really boring. araceli rarely mentions this, though, the only thing that makes her face fall is hana's reluctance to actually adventure.
"you could meet more people!" araceli would shout.
"daily life is an adventure, see?" hana responds.
luckily hana's holding back hasn't set araceli into a mood. yet.
alastair: hana has heard his name spoken, but has never actually met the fellow. curiosity abounds in a young mind, however, so hana would love to get to know him. however, constantly hearing about his even-temperedness and politeness can bring a frown to hana's brightly coloured face. if you never get mad, wouldn't that mean you're never truly happy? regardless, however, meeting him in real life and not hearing of him by word of mouth would make it easier to put these curious thoughts of dislike at ease. hana might almost be jealous of his ability to speak so calmly, however, seeing as how riled up or excited she can get when discussing whichever issue she's passionate about at the moment.
taiga: this one confuses hana. no, it's not that kind of straightforward 'should i pick the red or the blue coffee mug?' it's more deep than just multiple choice, although hana could admit her uncertainty has its roots there. firstly, there's the dilemma of the age gap. although hana is barely more than a child herself, her first year on her own and away from home, she can't help but look on at taiga as small. not insignificant small, just small. all her life, hana's grown up with people taller than her, as she is at the shorter end on the spectrum height-wise. she isn't sure whether to empathize with the younger one, or simply disregard taiga altogether. in their last conversation, taiga pestered hana about crushes and if she had any. luckily, hana wasn't 'set up' with anyone, but it did lead to a conversation that had to be quickly stopped in its tracks. oh, well. one thing that hana does admire is taiga's spirit. whenever she bumps into the PPS, hana will strike up a brief but spirited conversation with the younger one. sometimes taiga will almost 'pester' hana for something, knowing that inexperienced hana might usually oblige.

moscow: unlike most, the rumours about moscow's supposed 'vampirism' don't shake hana as much as her superstition. as someone who talks a lot, hana's ego can be hurt when someone shies away from even the littlest phrase that slips from her mouth. the one time she attempted to speak with moscow, her mention of the number 13 as the number of train tickets she had remaining sent the other into some sort of panic, a quiet panic, but muttering about train crashes and delays. this panic in turn sent hana into some kind of internal dilemma. upon asking what she should do, hana's usual verbosity toned down a notch due to that internal ball of worries, moscow responded that she should stay somewhere quiet for the next week.
hana doesn't like quiet. naturally, she didn't listen, and no harm befell her. however, moscow still slightly intrigues and scares hana to this day. a train ticket thrown into the gutter was the biggest impact that the other had on hana, though, as our bright pink plume doesn't like to dwell on worries, letting them evaporate almost as quickly as any other moods she gets into.

taiga ➣ adores taiga to death. hana despises kids but taiga's little sassy attitude is something precious. they get along well by sassing each other and sassing others, too. sometimes she'll pick up taiga and they'll get ice cream and talk about all the latest gossip from college to taiga's young grade.
araceli ➣ barely knows her - only knows her name because alastair talks on and on about his half-sister and how she seems to hate his worrywart personality sometimes. knows very little about her other than alastair's description of her seemingly half-personalities
moscow ➣ literally scares the life out of hana. she avoids moscow at all costs and if approached, acts very composed when in reality is ready to dig underground and hide for a while.
rozovyy ➣ actually started flirting with him, and was surprised when he started flirting back. she's companions with rozovyy but doesn't really talk to him much other than texting because of drunken number exchanges a while back. she sends him funky hairstyle pictures and winky faces, and he sends back pictures of wendy's whenever he gets it with kissy emojis. she has no actual feelings for him, but if he suggested a spontaneous platonic cuddle session, she'd totally be down. she kind of wishes she'd get to know him better, but doesn't want him thinking that she likes him any more than friends, even though the platonic flirting is very obviously platonic.

- they found an old map which led them there they were trying to find treasure

- Alistair uncovers what the book is trying to tell them: 'creating your own destiny'
He gives it to Maya (considering he's a gentleman) and Maya records all her adventures in it

“Wait up, Cel!” I laugh, the cool, vibrant wind ruffling my sky blue feathers. Celestia pulls to a hualt abrubtly, nearly making me trip over her. “Watch it!” I smile, trying to figure out the reason for her sudden stop. In front of Celestia I spy a crumpled up piece of paper, about to be blown away by the breeze. “It’s only a piece of paper, Cel…” puzzled, I urge her to ignore it, “come one, let’s get going!”
Celestia hushes me, “it could be just a piece of paper, Maya. But at the same time it could mean the beginning of a new adventure…”
I roll my eyes, “you and your fantasising.”
She nudges the piece of crumpled paper and then unfolds it. Celestia’s eyes widen, “look at this, Maya! Come and see!”
I’m not sure at first, “don’t start playing tricks on me…”
“No, really! I think it’s a map! A treasure map!” Celestia beams. I gasp, “now that’s something! Taiga would love to see this.”
Celestia nods eagerly in agreement, “if we get Taiga, then we should get Alastair too!”
I can’t control my excitement, “we’re going on a treasure hunt!” I squeal. Celestia laughs, “you’re such a kid!”

We show Taiga and Alastair the map we found. Taiga jumps up and down, thrilled, "can I lead the treasure hunt? I'm the best at finding treasure!"

Alastair smiles gently, "we can all lead the treasure hunt together, Taiga."

I agree, "we're a team of explorers!"

Alastair nods, "though we must take precautions. It's wise stay together so no one gets lost."

Celestia holds up the map, "who wants to hold the map first?"

I leap up in glee, "me! Me!"

Relationships

Alastair: Hana gets along very well with Alastair, and she considers him one of her best friends. Most likely, it's because of his polite and kind attitude, as well as how understanding he is. Normally, if she's able to, when she's stressed or panicked she'll contact him, as he seems to know just what to say to calm her down. She wonders just how he's able to put up with her impatient, panicky attitude, though; most likely his patience. From time to time, she'll accidentally make him flustered, to which she apologizes, even if he says he doesn't mind; she can tell if he's lying pretty easily.
Taiga: Hana and Taiga have a rather "interesting" relationship; it's kind of "hot" and "cold' to say. One minute they could be getting along, and the next they could be annoying or irritating each other. When she's in town Hana will often visit her or watch her when Alastair isn't around, but usually, these meetings don't end as well as Hana would like. Normally, Hana will say something, and then Taiga will most likely say something back that "irks" her, whether the tone be sassy, stubborn, or mischievous. Speaking of mischief, that's the reason Hana doesn't like having Taiga at her home very much; on one occasion, she took her eyes off of her for a mere ten minutes, only to look back and find her living room a mess. It shocks her that a Plumie so small could be so destructive.
Aracelli: Hana and Aracelli have a primarily "good" relationship. However, believe it or not, Hana is somewhat afraid of her. Ultimately, she's tries to agree with everything Aracelli says, because she's heard that making her angry is not a wise decision. Often, despite her protests, she'll get dragged along whenever Aracelli wants to go on an adventure. By the end, Hana's usually complaining, while Aracelli tells her to, "lighten up", or, "come on, it was fun!". On rare occasions, Hana will complain enough to accidentally irritate Aracelli, which usually ends with Hana apologizing at the speed of light while mentally hoping she didn't tick her friend off to much.
Moscow: Hana has tried her best to be comfortable around Moscow, but she just can't do it. There's just something about her that frightens her; perhaps her eerie personality and the rumors that surround her. Nervous is a common emotion Hana feels when around her; she tries to push it away, as she's sure she seems rude, but she just can't, no matter how hard she tries. For whatever reason, she apologizes frequently around her; like she thinks that whatever she said might've offended her or something like that. However, if Moscow speaks of her hobbies, Hana will become totally comfortable; some of their hobbies are alike, so Hana feels more comfortable talking about them over anything else.
Rozovyy: Hana and Rozovyy do not get along very well. For some reason, he comes off as rude to her, most likely because of his cocky attitude and flirtatious mannerisms that she deems "impolite". However, she does find him particularly intimidating; probably because he doesn't look like who he is, if that makes sense. Hana would've never guessed that a Plumie with those colors could have such an... "strong" personality. Rozovyy is the only Plumie Hana would ever be caught being rude to, whether it's on purpose or not. It's around him that she seems to act more uptight than usual; probably to try and look intimidating, but I think we all know it doesn't work.
Pets:
Carlotta: Carlotta is Hana's spoiled pet poodle, whom is named after the character from The Phantom of the Opera. Like the character, she's pretty rude to pretty much everyone, and likes having things done her way, whether the results are good or bad in the end. This poodle also loves to "sing", which can get on Hana's nerves sometimes, but she hardly ever really does anything about it.

Basic History
Hana was born into a relatively poor family in Venice, Italy. Early in her life, her mother was cut out of the picture by fate, so she was raised by her father for as long as she can remember. It was him, along with the stories he told, that inspired her to start singing. Since the money they had wasn't enough for "actual school", Hana was homeschooled, and the money they did have was used to find her singing lessons. There was, however, a time that she stopped singing; the day her father mysteriously vanished, never to return home from his trip to the local market. It was for many years that this "time of silence", as Hana calls it, lasted, until one day, she saw an advertisement in the paper that opened her eyes. A theater company was looking for a new Prima Donna - the lead female singer in most musicals/operas - so they could "properly" put on a show. Hana felt something stir inside of her; she needed to do this. The next day, she visited the theater the company had decided to be their first stop. After introducing herself and telling them that, "they're looking at their new Prima Donna" (which amused them), she did as instructed and sang a sample piece from the musical they were planning to preform. To her happiness, she was hired, and she remains their Prima Donna today. The company she's a part of is known as "Perfetto Performances" which roughly translates to "Perfect Performances". In the company, she's very close to pretty much everyone in it, especially those whom she normally performs with; so close, in fact, she'll often call them her brothers and sisters. Though, a better example of their close-ness, is the fact that they all changed their last names to Daae, after the main protagonist in "The Phantom of The Opera." Hana's original last name was Di Angelo.
