Before Ferondir had gone more then a few steps he heard a quiet voice and spun around.
There she was. Out of the reach of whatever was hiding in Zeph's room.
He sighed. "That's that."
He straightened. "There you are!" he said to Della.
He wasn't so worried anymore, Zeph knew the dangers of what he was getting into, even if he had decided to ignore them. He could take care of himself.
Ferondir pulled out a mirror he kept in his magic bag and held his staff too it.
No. He'd better not try scrying. He was too tired. All his magical energy had been used up to get here. And scrying was very energy intensive.
{For those of you who don't know, scrying is using any two reflective surfaces as a visual portal. Nothing but sound and light could go through. Essentially Skype for wizards. The more reflective and closer the surfaces are, the more powerful the connection. Still oil was found to be the most effective.}
He slipped the mirror back into his bag.
"He'll be fine." he told himself, though he didn't sound convinced.

Day 5 (Afternoon)/Guzore the Goron/20/Where: East Faron Woods/With: Zephyrus
Guzore looked back to make sure the others were keeping up. Zeph was holding his sword and looking at it from various angles. He seemed to really like it. Now that Guzore looked at it, it did look rather shiny. And sharp. And fascinating. Guzore jogged back to where Zeph was walking in the forest.
Hey, Zeph! How's it going? That's a pretty nifty sword you've got there! Where'd you get it?

Jack felt that he was getting too old for all of this running and jumping as he sat down on the tree that Guzore had... encountered.
Oh look, Della. Possibly the only person in this group who was "normal". Strange how much had happened in, what, 6 days? 7? Jack hadn't had this action packed of a week since, well, ever. Between evil witches and dead kings, forgotten ghosts and a maniacal sorcerer who kept the group from getting bored.
Zeph was walking towards them, as Guzore walked over and started talking to him.
While Jack caught his breath on the tree he saw what Zeph was holding. The sword, that apparently had been passed down through his family. Now it looked decidedly blue. Huh. Weird. maybe Jack was colorblind too, and he never knew it.

Ferondir put his head in his hands.
"What's wrong with me?" Zeph must have been behind them the whole time. Had Ferondir really worn himself out that much? He'd not only failed to see Della, but Zephyrus too? The forest must hide things well.
He was about to say something when Guzore spoke.
"Hey, Zeph! How's it going?..."
He didn't know why, but he got the feeling that Zeph didn't want too speak to him. If that was the case, he'd let his best friend choose to speak first.
"...That's a pretty nifty sword you've got there! Where'd you get it?"
Then he saw the sword. A true piece of art, both by the blacksmith and the enchanter.
He couldn't help but admire it. Just from the angle he was at, he could read the runes. The letters were perfectly phrased. Zeph did know what he was doing.
No. Silence was unacceptable. He wasn't going to wait to talk to the person he had always trusted the most.
"Nice spell work. I could hardly have done it better, even with weeks of preparation." His words rang with trust and truth.
The first step was helping his friend, not stopping him.
It was time he embraced Zeph's new path, after all, magic was about discovery, right?
He only hoped he could earn back the trust he'd once had.

Drimaethor was hoping he would be able to find some fitting clothes for when they got to Castle Town so he could use his fathers amulet to get them inside the city at least. He did have a strange feeling that the kings death might be the start of something big. And whatever it was, he was going to be ready for it.

Amethyst was startled to see everyone had left while she had been pondering into the distance. She dove into the lake, hoping the magic of the table would fade so that they didn't litter behind them, and swam apprehensively in the direction she suspected they had went. Luckily, soon enough she saw them in the distance by more ruined trees. these people were really a walking disaster zone...

She is coming back.
The sword spoke so fluently- So calmly.
It's so melodic. It's so very melodic.
Zeph could listen to them all day.
-s a pretty nifty sword, where'd you get it? guzore said- though it sounded more like an echo to Zeph.
Sword
Sword
Zeph suddenly became aware of his environment- forgetting about the sword entirely.
How did he get here?
The last thing he remembered he was practi- oh.
oh- this? It's a-uh- family heirloom. I grabbed it before I left home. Turns out it came in handy. Why?
The sword made Zeph uneasy- even just looking at it.
-even with weeks of preparation. ferondir said- he sounded pretty genuine.
It felt like it's been forever since They had just talked.
Without them wait of impending D̫̖̱̞̾o͋ͯͥ̄̔͢҉̪̮̺̮̩̞o̥͗ͯ̿͂m̢̯̜͉̖̄̈̓ͫ͛̾́͗ at least.
heh. Thanks. It did take quite awhile. I mean- i have a lot more free time now, without heavy magic to do. I've still got a ways to go though. This is pretty basic. zeph said, amused.

"Yes, there's always more to do." Ferondir said. A Family heirloom? Ferondir remembered Zeph talking about a heirloom shortly before that day in Mira Village. His family wouldn't be happy about him essentially graffiting it. Well, they always encouraged Zeph to practice his gift, so maybe it'd be okay.
Stop it.
Stop it, now.
He was failing to trust Zeph. Again.
Zephyrus knew his own family better then anyone.
"I wonder what they'll think of it back home." Ferondir looked again at the sword. And once again felt a primal fear. Just like when he was in Zeph's room. This sword was going to take some getting used to. "Sorta feels weird, doesn't it?"
The words... they could translate as a summons, or a doorway. Ferondir wouldn't know for sure unless he translated it himself. Zeph might not have noticed. That's the thing with runes, each one has so many meanings, that every phrase could mean dozens of different things, and without his own magic, the meaning wasn't bound by his thought.
"What're you planning on doing next?"

Sapphire followed Amethyst to the main group, doing her best to keep up. Sapphire saw Amethyst look out of the water, so she did too. She saw more ruined trees. What was it that humans had against trees? She swam up and jumped out of the water in her normal fashion, and walked over to Della. "Hey Della, why is everyone hurting the trees and stuff? Is there something bad about them that I don't know? Should I be hurting one too?" Sapphire was feeling nervous again, taking into account Zephyrus's strange sword, and gripped her necklace.
