Staff Litter 2015 Discussion Thread

As you've heard me mention before, he is based on a bunyip and his dot pattern is in tribute to the wonderful Indigenous Australian dot paintings.
I'm sorry for the brightness, but since I wasn't too keen on the palette I thought I would just make something quite eye-burning
This is the first time I seriously messed around with digital art so I know there are a few mistakes but I'm hoping with enough practice I'll get better in the future.

Tbh, I'm already a bit disappointed about this year's staff litter. I'm gonna hope the rest of the outcomes are better {no offense staff, except Ethulai's, that one is awesome}.

Same here, a whole bunch didn't even have any line edits and just look like from a regular litter. I'm underwhelmed :(
Ethulai's is the first one starting to look more interesting than the other ones. Not to be rude to the staff who did the simple ones, but just my opinion.

Ethulai's is the first one starting to look more interesting than the other ones. Not to be rude to the staff who did the simple ones, but just my opinion.

I have to disagree. To begin with, there aren't even half of the adult outcomes revealed so far, and I think there will be more elaborate ones as they grow up. Also, of the ones that have grown, I only see two or at most three that I would consider 'simple'. The rest either have interesting designs or subtle line edits that are fun to look at (and I personally like the simple ones, it's nice just to have a plain dog tucked among the other fancy ones, it gives the litter perspective imo).

There's no rule that says that the staff have to do line edits, and remember a lot of the people participating aren't official artists. I'm not saying you shouldn't have that opinion if you still feel that way, but I think you're counting your chickens before they're hatched (so to speak), deciding you're disappointed this early in the growing stages.

That's pretty rude. Not every staff member is an artist- not all of them can make magnificent complex line edits. The staff litter is for fun. Not to mention that half the litter hasn't even grown, and I think there's only been one grown pup without edits. And that pup was gorgeous as heck.
Just enjoy the litter, have fun, and don't be disrespectful to staff who may not be able to make fancy edits, yeah?
