Sapphire stumbled rather ungracefully, and felt fear rush through her as the ground shook. She saw Guzore run towards her with a tree, and instinctively jumped back into the lake. What the heck is he doing?She swam fast, but felt branches scrape against her back as the tree came down, from her perspective, almost on top of her. She swan away with light but stinging scratches on her back. Well, that might have been the worst time to jump in the lake to swim away from danger. But at the same time... why was Guzore throwing a tree at her? Did he mean to, or was it an accident? Sapphire poked her head out of the lake, and shouted, "I'm sorry if I did something to offend you! I hope you aren't mad!"

Day 5 (Midday)/Guzore the Goron/20/Where: Lake Floria/With:Everyone

Guzore heard Sapphire talking from the lake.
Oh, Sapphire? Sorry! I didn't know you were in the lake, broth-I mean, sister.

(Before Guzore through that tree)
Ferondir heard a splash and looked out at the lake.
Sapphire was soaring through the air. Higher than any fish. With more grace then any bird.
She, too was free. But he could see, in her performance, a great and painful memory. She jumped to honor someone she loved, and it showed.

After she had landed, a tree came out of nowhere.
"What?!"
He realised Guzore had thrown it. Was he mad about something? Ferondir had never seen him angry, and while that didn't mean he wasn't angry, Ferondir doubted that was how he would show his feelings.

After hacking away at the trees Drimaethor went back to the table and stuffed some more food in his mouth

"Almost" he said through a mouthful of bread. He finished and cleared his throat.

"I'm ready to go! I'm pumped!" He started bouncing on his heals.

"Guzore! Lets race! Last one to town pays for the others meal! Ready? Set! GO!" And at the word 'go' Drimaethor bolted off towards town.

Jack hadn't been paying attention to Ferondir, but when Drimaethor said the word "race" Jack snapped back into thinking instead of listening to the trees dance in the wind.
As a laugh that sounded strangely familiar to Jack erupted from his mouth, Jack ran off his branch and jumped onto another, but this method of transportation wasn't nearly fast enough to catch up to Drimaethor. Once Jack had enough momentum he skipped the intervening steps and just leapt from branch to branch. Even so, Jack was only able to keep pace with Drimaethor.
It didn't matter that it was impractical or that the pace wasn't at all sustainable, but some fey voice urged him on his haphazard path through the trees.

Day 5 (Midday)/Guzore the Goron/20/Where: East Faron Woods/With:Drimaethor and Jack

As Jack jumped from branch to branch and Drimaethor sprinted along the dirt trail through the shaded forest, a rumbling sound was heard behind them. At lightning speed, Guzore rolled right past them in a classic Goron Roll.

A branch cracked above Ferondir.
Jack had leaped to another tree. Wow. He seemed so happy and at peace.
"Oh, fine."
He sprinted the way they had gone.
He found he couldn't keep pace.
"Wind." He said.
A strong gust blew up behind him and threw him into the air.
He focused on what he wanted the air to do, and it righted him, and he sped a few feet over the ground. He'd easily catch them like this.
The feeling of the wind against his skin made him feel that same empowering freedom he saw in Jack and Sapphire.
He knew why they did what they did now.

Drimaethor looked back and laughed as Guzore started catching up to him. He saw everyone else following behind and laughed again.
"Wooooohooooo!" He jumped over bushes and boulders and yelled in delight as Guzore just ran over them.

He was weaving in and out of the trees, but the magic was starting to tire him.
He shot forward at twice the speed and landed in a sloppy roll. He leaped to his feet and found he was only fifteen feet behind. If he used just enough wind to make him faster...
He kept that distance.
He didn't need to win. He just needed to keep pace.

Day 5 (Midday)/Guzore the Goron/20/Where: East Faron Woods/With:Drimaethor, Jack, and Ferondir


Guzore continued rolling and laughing down the trail until he rolled straight into a tree and knocked it over. He sat at the stump for a moment, dazed, and then stood up to brush the pine needles off of his shoulders.
Alright, I think that's enough tree-knocking over for the day. Are the others coming too?
