When Pancake was young, he was caught in a fisherman's net, and Gage rescued him, unaware he would grow so huge.
Now that Pancake is so massive, Gage rides him when he is too lazy to swim, and Pancake sleeps on top of him like a blanket.

Shayū has always wanted a friend. He had always been alone and didn't know how to make friends. But this one day, he was walking by the coast, alone, as always. He sat down, looking at the sea and saw something really colourful jump out, entangled in a net. Shayū jumped into the water to help the critter, and found a beautifull parrot fish, looking at him, asking for help. Shayū untangled the fish and set it free, but the fish didn't leave, it stayed with Shayū, keeping him company. Shayū pated the fish on the head and said "Were're friends, right?" The fish nodded and swam around, circling Shayū.
Shayū named the fish Shachi, and they've been together ever since, never leaving the other's side.
