Thane walked into the forest, lifting his nose to the air to sniff for signs of prey. The faint scent of deer reached him, making his mouth water. From the way the scent was slightly off, Thane could tell that the deer was injured. "This way," he said, gesturing with his tail and leading the way down a deer trail.

The gray and white she-wolf trotted along the lake's shore, enjoying the wild scents that wreathed around her. The water lapped lazily at the sand, and Karliah delicately submerged her paws as she bent down to drink. The water is as cool and refreshing as ever, she thought, droplets glistening on her whiskers as she straightened back up. As Karliah made her way back toward the rest of the pack, she stopped intermittently to leave territory markers. It was her job as a scout to make sure the territory was defended.

Koda was lying down in the camp, basking in the heat-less morning sun. She was as cold as a stone, and was trying to collect warmth by sprawling out in the sunniest part of the camp. That didn't work. It was just too cold out. If she ever did get warmer, the glorious feeling would be blown away by a sudden draught that blew through the bottom of the camp. she sighed, reluctantly staying in her spot. If there was going to be anywhere she could heat up, it would be here.

Eldd was sitting near the lake, which was almost completely frozen over. He looked at the shiny, shimmering surface in awe. He was very tempted to go and walk on the ice, but was aware of what consequences would be in store for him if he did so. It would be foolish of him, actraully. he had no idea how thick the ice was. One pawstep could lead to certain death. He laughed at the thought of how idiotic a wolf would be to try their chances on that ice.

The fae slowly padded passed the rocky cliffs on the mountains, trying not to slip on the icy snow. After reaching the bottom, Jewel made her way to the beautiful forest. The scents of the wolves in Ash's pack surrounded her once she entered the trees. She didn't stop in fear of being spotted, though. She was going to join Ash's pack. She was tired of being alone for two years. Though it seemed weird she was doing so, Jewel didn't care.

He took extra care not to drag his paws in the snow as he crept toward the injured doe, which was nibbling at some dried grass that somehow managed to remain exposed throughout the winter. Thane flicked his tail to the side, signaling for Kayla to sneak around to the deer's other flank.

As she made another round along the lake, Karliah scented one of her packmates. She spotted Eldd sitting on the shore, staring out at the vast expanse of ice. With pawsteps as light as feathers, she padded up to the brute and nodded a greeting. "You ever tried walking on that?" she said with an amused snort. "I saw a fox fall in one day. It was quite a spectacle."

Koda eventually tired of lying down in the camp. It was boring. She wasn't getting any heat from it, either. She sat herself up, and walked out of camp. She was originally going to collect some plants and shrubs to use for her medical work, but she scented something. Something strange. She began to quickly trot towards the scent. It's a wolf. A loner, perhaps, She thought. Suddenly, her thoughts were cut off when she bumped into Jewel. She yapped in surprise. "Who are you?" She said, taking deep breaths to calm down.

Eldd was pondering about random things, like why elks were so big. Suddenly, Karliah's voice rang into his thoughts. He quickly snapped back into reality, and looked over his shoulder at the fae. "Hi Karliah," He greeted, laughing at what she said about the fox. "Foxes seem so similar to us in appearance, but their intelligence is no where near as complex," He barked jokingly.

Jewel gasped as she was knocked back a bit. Gathering herself, she replied to the strange-scented fae. "I'm Jewel," she said, quite annoyed. "Watch where you're going," she mumbled through clenched teeth as she turned her head away. Her tail lashed viciously. She just wanted to see her brother already.

Thane crept a bit closer, the sickly sweet smell of the deer's bloodied leg overwhelming his nose. With a flick of his ears, he sprang, leaping for the deer's throat and sinking his teeth in. He only hoped that Kayla noticed the signal, as the deer's powerful front hooves could potentially bruise him if they hit.

She chuckled, sitting beside the brute. "Same goes for coyotes. Ugh, I hate those annoying little songdogs." Coyotes were one of the many animals that displeased Karliah. "So, is there anything exciting going on? It's quite boring around here." Karliah had to admit, she got bored easily with regular pack life.
