Staff Litter 2015 Discussion Thread

I just want to say thank you to the staff for making this year fun for me. I've never participated in any monthly discussions, and this is the first year I've been active with the hint games of trolltember. I mean I've adopted staffies in the past.. but never participated.
I specifically want to thank Graham and Schuyler for making this so much fun.. While your hints have been pretty difficult, I really like how active yall have been.

Seriously though, I have had so much fun the last week. Like I stay on until 6 in the morning trying to pose theories.. I wouldn't even stay up that late in high school to finish homework. I'm just having such a great time and I appreciate everyone so much.. even the other users ;u; I seriously wanna just go through and send all of yall friend requests so we can stay in touch

A question for all the staff: do you start with the full grown and work backwards, or start with the pup and work up from there?

I made my adult first. Last year I started with the pup... and then it stayed a pup because I did not have the skills to recreate it as an adult.

Part of me thinks that 'Especially the pup stage', is a bit of a joke, to be mislead us, or something.

-My pet has something in common with another CS pet I made
-The tail is not the specific feature the hint is referring to
-The feature in question is one that has never appeared on one of my staff dogs
-My boys name is Reynir (That could potentially provide two hints about him, but they're both obscure)
-The Rowan tree meaning of the name is halfway to one big hint
-You might notice a tiny nod to SSSS Reynir
-Pup has a different colour for his snout than the rest of his head

Something in Common that their staff pets don't have can be several small things, even pricked ears, two coloured eyes..
I know nothing about SSSS Reynir besides it is a webcomic or something (googled)..
Red Hair | Braided hair | Freckles | Wears blue?
If it even refers to that character and not another from comic; As I said I know nothing about it.

Pawprint blanket design, similar on the puts shoulder - Their other Staff pets don't have
Pups nose is a darker orange to the cheeks, while the bridge/top of the muzzle is blue
Orange head could relate back to SSSS Reynir's Red hair; or the blue body for Reynir's blue shirt.
The 'Pawprint' on the shoulder could be the berries of the Rowan tree - or his this too literal and the 'Rowan' referring to what they said about the connection to Mr Bean, who is played by a Rowan.


Marking Down the back, & pricked ears - Previous staff pets have neither
/White/ Freckles on cheek, that Reynir guy has freckles
Again, perhaps Orange for his hair colour, going down the back to emphasize the length of the braid.
Darker blue nose than the rest of the head.

-Mine got something in common with my first staff dog"
-Mine is named Opal
-I think you'll all find mine to be quite a gem
-It did not grow on day 1 or 3, but 'might' not have even grown yet
-My pup is not from day 1 or 3
-It got an animal feature or item, that doesn't normally belong on a dog though you might not see it, before its fully grown
-Mine is among the currently grown pups<- Day 8

Ruling Out pups from day 1 and 3, and pups that have been claimed and denied


Look at the Stipes on the front feet; they are similar to the Adults design
Also notice that the toes are coloured like both the pup and the Adult's are
They both have spots
-You can get Blue Opals or gems in general-


Feather on the nose; the Adult has feathers behind its ears
A Feather is an animal feature dogs do not have
The Design on the back is similar to the wings on the Adult - And it could still grow wings.
The nose, also appears similar but it is hard to say
-Also, you can get White opens with bright colours-

Also; Just because the Pup is named Opal, doesn't mean it is a gem, that its an Opal per say
As someone else stated, the dog may simply look precious or the Gem being implied could be an accessory

-Hasn't grown by day 4
-None of the things I've designed for other species will hint exactly at my pet, but should give you an idea for how I design; thus making it easier to discern mine. (-:
-Modolfr was very tame compared to this years dog.
-Seinn has at least one edit in common with Modolfr, but that/those edit/s may not be obvious until he's an adult.
-Mine's name is Seinastur/Sienn
-One of my hints so far is a half-truth. Which means its also a half lie.
-My pup has Edits (-:
-Two truths and a Lie
1) My pup has a lot of orange on it
2) My pup has already grown up (from Blanket) <- not dated..
3) My pup is heavily edited

Modolfr

Sienn - Late, Tardy, Slow | Seinastur - Last, Past

Has no Tail like Modolfr
If the Truth was a lot of Orange
Safe to say there are Line edits.


Don't know what may be in common in its covered by a shell
I lot of editing in Pups stage, making Modolfr tame in comparison - Tame could have a second meaning here
When talking about other species designs in their gallery, it makes me think of the feathers with this pet.

Just look at its dappled, soft colouring compared to her cats this month



Draca's also pretty good with soft, smooth line edits



She also works a lot on items, so I'm sure she can draw something like an egg pretty easily

I'm not beyond thinking the egg dog could be Graham's, but I'm still getting some Draca vibes from it
