Warriors: Choose Your Own Adventure (COMPLETE)

Postby Arcaii » Wed Sep 09, 2015 9:11 am

FOR ALL READERS AND LURKERS: READ THE RULES AND LIST OF PARTICIPANTS. IF YOU ARE NOT ON THAT LIST, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO POST IN THIS THREAD. THANK YOU.

Sorry, mods. I thought I was gone forever too.

Welcome to the third attempt at a Warriors CYOA! My name is Arcaii, and this is a game in which I am the storyteller, and you are the players who choose where the story goes.

Here's how it works:
-Possible actions are presented to the readers.
-The group then individually puts in commands for whatever action they like. If two or more people suggest the same thing, they will be counted seperately, thus increasing the chance for the action to be picked.
-The commands will be numbered and a dice will be rolled to randomly select which action to take.
-When an action is selected, I will write out what happens because of that action.

There's a discussion thread up for everyone to talk about anything and everything pertaining to the story. This thread is solely for commands. Everything else goes in the discussion thread.

The story is now complete! Thank you all for reading!

RULES

1) Do not post on this thread if you are not on the list of participants, myself, or otherwise invited to speak.
2) Do not post your command multiple times. That will not increase the likelihood of your command being used, nor will it give me much initiative to use it anyway. I will see your command once you post it, and it will be given a fair chance like everyone else's.
3) Additional comments, such as questions, discussions, art, or theories, are not allowed here for the sake of keeping the thread as tidy as possible. Only post a command.
4) When a list of options is presented to you, please only command for one of those options (if this command has sub-options, pick only one of these). If you strongly feel like there's an alternate option that can be used, feel free to message me or post it on the discussion thread. Whether or not it is taken into account and presented as a possibility is entirely up to me.
5) Participants will receive several warnings if they break any of these rules, are inactive too long, or act surly towards other participants. If enough rules are broken, they are inactive without reason for more than 2 weeks, or the person is rude to other players or myself, they will be stricken from the list and their slot will be free for a new player.
6) Now for my own rule: I am not allowed to try to persuade you or tell you to use one command over the other. My only job here is to give you possible actions and tell the story as you choose it. If I am breaking this rule, whether on accident or on purpose, feel free to call me out, and if I do it more than three times, the group will decide my punishment (and no, that doesn't include me no longer being the DM here).

LIST OF PARTICIPANTS

These people have been invited or allowed to play the game. The reason that I have a select list is because I don't want too many people playing at a time, as it can get exhausting and frustrating to sift through a long stream of commands, and hard to keep track of the individual participants and their activity. If you are not on this list, do not post on this thread.

CHARACTER STATS

Asterpaw: A young blue-grey tom with a white chest, belly, and paws. His left back leg is missing.

Charisma: 16
Reputation: 3
Willpower: 11
Leadership: 10
Experience: 12

Skill List: Hunter (Jou), Fighter (Int), Cage Opener (Beg), Negotiator (Nov), Improviser (Beg), Sneak (Beg)

Hunter: Catch your own prey.
Fighter: Fend for yourself in battle.
Cage Opener: Get out of any cage by yourself.
Negotiator: Speak with a number of cats in order to preform deals or persuade a group.
Improviser: Come up with viable solutions to problems on the fly, under pressure.
Sneak: Make your way around without being detected.

CHARISMA- Social skills; earned from choosing persuasive dialog, joking, and lying. This can be used to prevent a fight or talk others into doing things for you. The higher your level of charisma, the more charming and persuasive you will be.
REPUTATION- How well known you are; earned from being respectful and polite, or garnering the favor of powerful cats. This can garner immediate respect from strangers and keep them from fighting you, or even convince them into following you. The higher your reputation, the more well known (and well respected) you will be.
WILLPOWER- How closely you stick to your guns; earned from keeping the rules of Clan life close to your chest and staying honest. This attribute does have negative side effects if allowed to go too high, but it will affect the end-game and provide you with "good" options more than "bad" options.
LEADERSHIP- Your decisiveness and power; earned by giving directions and taking charge, and having a high-enough charisma stat. In a new area or confusing scenario, you can immediately gather support and obedience from strangers, and keep them there as long as you want. The higher your leadership, the more powerful you will be and the larger your number of followers will be.
EXPERIENCE- Your street-smarts. Points will be earned with each new experience to give you knowledge on what to do in future situations. This will grow from trying new things and encountering new situations. The higher your experience, the easier the game will become.

Levels of Experience: Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Journeyman, Master.

All slots for participation are now full. Remember, pick only one choice unless directed otherwise. Seven individual commands must be given before the next roll is made. In the event of an extended delay, I myself will randomly pick an option and then roll. If you want to add a little flair to your command (eg, saying "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard" for the choice "I don't think that's a good idea"), please add in the chosen command at the end of the statement, or at least make it pretty clear what choice you've made.

With that, let the game begin!

---

“Wait, don’t-!”

A roar. Screeching sounds. You look back just in time to see Robincloud’s horrified face.

Everything goes black.

You waver in and out of darkness. Your body is numb to the core. Colors and lights are too blended together for you to see. You faintly hear strange voices. Someone is humming. You sleep again.

When you finally have the strength to open your eyes, you don’t want to. You can feel the brightness of everything. Sounds are almost muffled in your ears, yet they make your head ring. You can’t feel the grass or leaves under your feet. You feel like you’re on a cloud.

"...ome on. Wake up, kiddo. I know you can hear me.”

You groggily attempt to get up, but it's too much effort. Your head feels upside down, like you’re about to be sick. You manage the tiniest, most pitiful groan.

“Hm. The mickey’s got you deep. First time, I wager?”

You can’t make sense of any of that. You just want to sleep again.

The voice is a little quieter now. “Who are you, anyway, I wonder?”

You pull yourself out of the murk of unconsciousness. You know who you are. Or, at least...you know what you are.

Tom.
Molly.

I moan and pull myself up, shaking my clouded, weary head. I can't remember much, but through the fog, I do know one thing- I'm a molly.

"I'm a tom," I manage to answer lamely.
