Yummy strawberry confetti-cake!

Romeo curled up into the powdery sand, the grains shifting into his thick, colorful fur. It would be a pain to get out later, but quite frankly, he didn't care. He was perfectly content to snooze on the beach until the moonrise.
Suddenly, his belly rumbled with hunger.
"Hmph," he mumbled with a frown. "I wonder if I have anything in the fridge..."

Romeo heaved himself from the pale sand and trotted towards his beach-house, a cozy cottage feel emanating from it.
He plodded to the porch, delighted to find a brown package waiting on his doorstep.

A folded note on the side read:

The writing was scrawled sloppily, but definitely feminine. The letters curved elegantly, despite being obviously written in a rush.
Romeo grinned, knowing precisely who sent it. He quickly ripped apart the thin brown paper to find a magnificent-looking strawberry confetti cake residing in a delicate cardboard box. "Oh, yes!" exclaimed Romeo with a little dance.
"Yum! This looks so good!"

This little beauty has a strong sweet tooth for strawberry cheesecake, she calls it the cool creamy dessert of her dreams. Her favourite thing about this sweet treat is the decorations, she loves watching the sauce being drizzled onto the cake and then being topped with delicious plump fruits. She has an eye for all things pink and absolutely adores the pale colour that the strawberries give to the desert. She also loves the taste; the contrast between the smooth cheesecake, the crunchy base and slightly bitter strawberries that feel like fireworks on her tongue. Her ideal cheesecake would have the perfect texture; a thick but creamy cake and a buttery base with a subtle crunch. She enjoys making her own cheesecakes and experimenting with the flavours, it means she always has some to share with her friends too.

So, when his birthday rolled around another year, Elizabeta didn't have high hopes. What a surprise he got - Elizabeta's mother brought him a cake. It was a Red Velvet Cake.
