Ryker looked down at River, "you alright to move?" he asked her gently.

Max was making preparations for his guests. he closed off the parts of the base with the Walkers he was studying and opened the main hall for them to come into. he had already set up about a dozen cots and had long tables with a meager meal set for them. he knew that the probably had not eaten much, nor drank much either, so he did not want to shock their systems.

he had set out a small amount of water, and some bland food. a small chicken breast, baked without any seasoning, and some plain mashed potatoes. he also had some corn and peas set in bowls at each place, though he did not expect them to eat them if they did not want to.

She walked to the place and walked up to it. " Well this is the place." She knocked quietly.

Max trotted out of the main building and opened the gates with a harsh squeeking sound.

"come in, right through that door will take you to the main hall." he gestured to the open door he just came out of, "i have a meal laid out for you."

Ryker looked at him, he was young. too young for Ryker to feel comfortable with. he tried to pull River closer to him as he ushered her through the gate and into the building. it was quiet warm, and through the food had no seasoning it still smelt like heaven.

She walked in and sat down, " I am not hungry," she muttered to herself.

Max saw her sit but not eat, "please eat, you really need it."

he watched her eagerly, his boyish hope making him seem much younger then what he really was.

Ryker waited to see what River would do before he did anything.

" I do not fell hungry. Thank you for your concern. " she put her hand on the handle of her blade. She was covered in blood and her hair looked more red then brown. She pulled her hat down more and leaned back in her seat.
