He paused for a moment, gaze turning towards the elf that had seen her and the others coming. "Era seranna-ma." he called out, the translation meaning Excuse me. He'd get their attention and try to talk with them. At least he wasn't a human.

Othelia grinded her teeth as Fenris called out. What does he think he's doing? she hissed under her breath. Three Dalish stepped out of the bushes, "We know you're in their. Out!" they yelled.
Othelia stepped into the shadows, her features seeming more human when her tattoos weren't easily visible and ears covered by hair.
"A shem?" one of them commented in disgust, notching an arrow into his bow.
"Ir abelas." Othelia replied, walking out of the dark and into the sun.
"A ... dalish?" another commented, lowering their bow.

He jumped down, staring at them with a deadly glare and stepping forward, grasping the females arm. He was an elf, even though his markings were nothing like theirs at all. He huffed slightly, waiting for the elves to talk.

The dalish instinctively raised their bows up again as they saw Fenris appear out of the tree.
"We're just passing through." Othelia lied, her voice steady. The familiarity of eleven faces was calming yet brought back memories of brutal comments and threats about her shemlen blood - never being able to find a real home. Wherever she went, she knew she'd be called either knife ear or "dirty blood" Shem. The elves looked to each other and slowly lowered their weapons again, "We are sorry," one spoke up, "we did not realize one of our kind was roaming the area. You are far away from your clan, are you not?"

"They are not far, they sent me south to collect a herb that only grows in the Wilds. Our healer has fallen deathly ill." Othelia lied.

Before Othelia could even finish speaking, Fenris snorted rather rudely. "You're kind?" he questioned, words laced with venom. "I am anything but apart from the Dalish!" he hissed through gritted teeth, yanking Othelia's body to his in a protective way.

Othelias' cheeks turned slighty red and she let out a low sigh.

"We know you're not Dalish," one of the free folk snapped at him, "We were talking to her."

"We're just passing through." Othelia repeated, trying to slowly pry her way out of Fenris' grasp. By the Gods, would everyone just shut up for a moment? she thought angrily.

The Dalish nodded, two of them began to round up the Halla, "Fine then. But remember we have our arrows trained on you if you threaten us."

"Ma serannas," Othelia sighed, nodding her head to the three of them. Grabbing a hold of Fenris' wrist, she began to pull him away from them, "Come on ma vehnan." she told him, attempting to keep her little story up. She knew if she called Fenris by a loving name, the Dalish would less likely attack him, thinking he's rather important to a member of their kind. The Dalish exchanged curious glances and watched as they left, bows loosely at their sides.

"Simply put - a term of endearment. They would've shot an arrow through your neck otherwise." Othelia snapped back at him, glaring in return as well. A fire flickered behind her dark, pine coloured eyes. Her body started feeling hot with anger as frustration started bubbling to the surface. Why does he question everything? Can't he see I saved his bloody life? He's so stubborn!
"Now let go of me." she hissed, the armor on his hands digging into her skin and making her uncomfortable.
