Not sure if I should post this here or on the fanart page, so I'll do both ^^
It was a dark night, a moonless night, and the stars were hidden behind a thick bank of fog. There was no sound to be heard except that of a faraway wolf, howling his loneliness to the skies. And then, from the brush, they appeared. Each wore a white tunic and gray breeches, each had a bow and quiver on their back, each had a dagger at their waist. There were six girls, all appearing to be fifteen or sixteen, but they held themselves with the air of someone much older, with years of wisdom on their strong shoulders. The girls gathered silently around tracks in the deep mud, then one said loudly, "I don't see why we have to follow this boar. Artemis won't let us kill it, anyways." Another, the tallest, with curling black hair, growled at the girl. "How dare you disrespect the Goddess, speaking of her so!" A third girl, one who looked younger than the rest, hissed at them. "Shut up," she said, looking at the taller. "You should know better, Aleithia. And Lilliam," her eyes flicked to the other, "We're huntresses. We hunt. We don't kill. You know that." "But, Elissa," protested Aleithia, but she was silenced by a glare from her leader. Lilliam grumbled, and seemed about to say something when a lanky redhead spoke up. "It went south, Elissa," she told the younger girl, whose brown hair fell across her eyes. "And...?" she prompted, brushing the hair away and tucking it behind one ear. "Then it turned and headed east, miss, and now we're here. But the tracks just vanish. All that's here is a few hoof-prints and a pile of sooty remains. No blood, no sign of a scuffle, just burnt flesh and a pile of blackened bones." Elissa's eyes narrowed, but she said, "Thank you, Frenna." Then she turned to the group, singling out two girls, twins, with golden hair. "Claire, Beka, you two go east and see if you can find any more tracks." The girls nodded and vanished into the brush. "Frenna, you take Aleithia and go south." The redhead nodded, and the two girls left. "Lilliam, you come with me. I have an idea about who did this, but I'd better not be right."
