Have ever entered/won a contest and felt guilty about it? Why?
oh yes
Simon's contest hurt me real bad. So many people I knew had entered,
and i was really worried when the contest was over, if i won they'd hate me,
and if i lost i'd become sour and start to dislike them. Honestly, throughout his
contest that's probably when i became sick the most, colds, step, ear infections,
etc. because i got myself too stressed out. Along with his contest, Kacey's as well.
I felt terrible when I finished my form, so many people were telling me to drop
out, that i didn't deserve him, and all that lovely crap. When i won i got even
more hate, and I felt guilty for about a month, and really did nothing with my poor
dork. I'm still feeling kind've guilty, and it actually hurts to admit that
Who's you're first plumerian? Do you still own them? What do they mean to you?
My first Plumerian is Mukesh. He was a RU to #191. He means the
entire world to me, even now from last year. He's the character that kept
me going, I had so much fun trying for him and developing his character,
the contest didn't even matter to me. His colors inspire me, and the fact that
he's blind is so cool in my eyes, as blind people are such strong people.
Even though they can't see the world around them, weather they were
born blind, or went blind, they keep on living their lives, finding ways
to work around their disability. I actually know a blind woman, she's the most
spectacular person I have ever met, and i'm glad I know her. Winning Mukesh, having
watched her getting lead around school by her friends and siblings, made me realize
that blind characters are seriously overlooked in how they live their lives. It was
fun to structure him, fleshing out his character, then his relationship, then his family,
and now his grandchildren.
He means the world to me, and I can't think of what'd I'd be doing now
if I hadn't gotten him.
Do you feel they're should be more non-owner plumerians? Why or why not?
Actually, no.
It's giving them the assumption they don't have the skill to
compete against owners, when in reality everyone's capable of
the same level of skill. I'd honestly rather see more impress me contests,
and help a non-owner out and see what they do.
