I'm thinking maybe this outcome if Lacuna's outcome is already on it's second stage because of its purple eyes.

Hm. Personally, I don't think it's grown yet. And I believe she said her Pup had all of the palette colours? Not sure.

I classify that as pink/magenta so that's why I said that one

I was looking at the Staff Pet hints and Pluma's made me laugh, named Opal and it's 'quite a gem' that reminds me of SU x'D

EDIT: Looking at Pluma's staffies from previous years, they sort of have animal themes I think? I dunno if anyone mentioned this before aha ^^

I've just recently had a look at the Staff hints, and Atwood mentioned his pup's name was Reynir.
So. I did some research;
Reynir, in Nordic, means 'Rowan Tree.'
Perhaps Atwood has something Ent-ish going on.

The rowan tree meaning of the name is halfway to one big hint but won't help you much on its own - I posted something a while back that might help get you the rest of the way there. ;3

Alright. After going back to page 290, I collected a few pointers in a mass hint post.
The hints from Atwood [That were noted] were;
Specific Feature with a previous pet.
Tail is not the feature.
Will lose something between stages.

Now, we are aware of the name [Reynir, meaning 'Rowan Tree']
The Rowan Tree has Bright orange berries.
However, after more research on the Rowan Tree, I have discovered the following;
.The rowans or mountain-ashes are shrubs or trees in genus Sorbus of family Rosaceae.
.native throughout the cool temperate regions
.Rowans are mostly small deciduous trees
.White-fruited Rowan Sorbus glabrescens, a Chinese species with white fruit. [Possibly a factor]

After this research, I gathered Atwood's previous staff pets, and noted that they all have floppy ears. I also noted that the eyes of the below pup are almost reptilian, and in a precious staff pet, it appears another pup's eyes seem to be reptilian[first pup]- although that could just be me overthinking things. Interesting.
This leads me to believe that there is currently one pup that could be Atwood's.

Also! I'd like to note that paw print's have four pads in the front for the toes, and one big pad. The pup below had three toe pads, and one paw pad, and that makes me believe that it is not, in fact, a paw print.
Not to mention, In all of the above pets, Atwood has chosen different colours for the snout, and the remainder of the head--as has the pup below. Hmmmm.
As for the hint that Reynir will lose something as he grows, perhaps he looses the 'Pawprint'/'Possible berries in a bunch' on his shoulder? I'm not sure.
Unfortunately, I don't have all the staff pets so far, so this babe is the only one I can point out.

Red Dragon Nursery? maybe it means this fella:



Because like everyone says, they are liable to changing color as they grow, and this one looks similar to a dragon.
It has to do with mythology because Dragons
And this one has all the colors of the palette!

Even in the second stage it's hard to tell what has changed. Hmm? I could be so very wrong, though.

I was just about to point this out xD it uses all colors of the palette and resembles more closely to a mythological creature than any of the others. I can't find a visible difference though.

No. Good guesses though. If you can figure out the etymology of the name you might discover the mythological beast. Remember I said loosely resembles...I'm not an artist after all

I was going to say that one, but I believe Lacuna said their Pup had all of the colours on it, leading me to believe that it hasn't grown yet. We'll be able to investigate properly in 4 days, if 3 grow every day. I wonder how long it'll take for the Staff to claim their Pups owo

I found the mythological beast Karura, which sounds like Karoola. Probably just wishful thinking but does that have anything to do with it?
