My rat Delta died before her vet visit, it was just too late for me to get her taken up there. She died before the soonest visit we could make
Pyometra is awful. unu

eep! We got a skinny pig in at work! He's so cute :P very young too I'm thinking.. probably only a few weeks old.

Does anyone know tips of taming a rat that bites?

She's actually doing a lot better today! Only nibbled on me and actually licked my fingers! YAY :P

wow it's been forever since i've been on this thread
uh, i doubt anyone remembers but i do still have my hairless boy who's about two years now and still doing good, but we just got two rex boys today (himalayan and what im assuming is fawn right now? im not really sure about that one actually, i can tell better once they molt again and are a bit more handelable)

but we just got a huge cage that i spent forever trying to put together and clean thoroughly, so i wanna trick it out, so suggestions?
can someone also show me how they attach their fleece in their dcns? ive heard of clips and stuff but im not sure how to do it? i already have fleece in there but its just sitting on the bottom, i need to get more anyway for hammocks and cubbies and the like too...
also what kind of litter boxes are good for rats and what should i put in it? since i dont think i can get away with not having one in this cage...

i think that's all i have for right now, but thanks in advance for any answers.

For fleece I've only ever seen people use binder clips, but I'm sure there's other was that are just as good(: ( in the picture she just took off those metal things on the binder clip and left only the plastic, and just shoved on over the plastic bottom and the fleece.

I love cages that look like this and this, but obviously it may take you a lot of time to be able to buy all of that to make it look so good. I say just get cool toys, fleece, and anything you can think of(:

For my rats I use a corner litter box, but really any litter box on the market is good. The corner one is great because it doesn't take p as much space as a full square. Also, for bedding I put aspen shavings in there and they seem to be indifferent about it lol. Just don't use clumping cat litter! :P

Hello everyone! Yesterday I adopted my hamster. She's a Syrian, but about the size of a dwarf right now. She's four weeks old. I'm thinking about naming her Leah.

i remembered binder clips i was just making sure of that, so next time im out i'll be sure to get a good amount so i can tack it all down

and those are really cool, it may take me a little while but i think i could do that, i just need to invest in fleece in bulk, figure out how to work the sewing machine, and look around for some cool hides

and thanks, i'll see if i can get one next time we're out, i guess i was just wondering if the kind with the bars on it were good. but i won't use cat litter for sure (rhys would probably try to eat knowing him anyway)

on another note the new boys are settling in much better today, i could hear them drinking all night and they've cleared about half of the food i left out. the littler guy also seems to enjoy climbing around the cage and even came up to the bars to say hi to me (though he wasn't kean on being touched just yet)

Ahhh, all your babies are so adorable!

Also, good news. I got a bigger cage! All I need now is consumables - bedding and food.

And, of course, the mouse.

My girls are all doing good. The rats are all living together now! Just have to get Rogue to stop power grooming poor Skye, she has a bald spot lol

Im a bit worried for them tonight, I had to leave my house, so I'm at my sisters for the night. My mom is suppose to be taking care of my critters, so hopefully she doesn't accidentally let them out of their cage. Sif and Rogue are terrible about leaning out of their door trying to climb up onto the top of the cage.
