paragraph about yourself: hi hi !! i'm aviate, although i usually go by avi, call me whatever though ? i go by any pronouns although i prefer being referred to as they/them. i'm an owner of four beans, a tablet artist using an intous manga tablet, and i live in the indonesia western timezone [ utc + 07:00 ], but enough about that. while i do have four beans, i feel like it would take a very special bean for me to be willing to use that fifth slot, and in this case it's kalari. where do i start? well, while the character she had before her readoption is pretty foreign to me it does give me a chance to prove myself, her watercolor design looks pretty fun to replicate, and hey, it gives me a chance to use the rest of my beans too ! i only have access to a laptop on weekends but i can assure you i sketch traditionally really often, so i will definitely be active with her.

how often do you rp?: depends on what you define roleplaying is, honestly. i'm a mainly mobile user so i use mostly kik and skype to roleplay and occasionally friends' join.mes, and sometimes simply through cs pms. my roleplay style usually leans to more chat-styled writing and headcanons, but if you do count those as roleplaying, yeah i roleplay every day ! if it's needed i'll also roleplay on the jbd hangout and such, although there's not much there right now. i do sketch/art roleplays too !

kalari is... odd. she is an individual who is quirky, optimistic, loud-mouthed, and to an extent... nice. maybe not the kind of nice that you would expect, though. more or less, she's nice in the way that she will try her best to make you smile, even if sometimes she gets carried away. she is an upbeat young individual who never really takes things seriously, managing to turn everything into a joke while at the same time finishing her tasks with an almost permanent smile on her face. it does, admittedly, look creepy, especially when she closes her eyes with that content grin. still, she is a well-meaning youngster whose attitude can seem a little out of place, and yet always feels right where it should be. when it comes to depressing and sad topics she just... tries to 'joy the sad away,' if that makes any sense. she will talk louder, and get more obnoxious in attempts to cheer you up. she'll try to make you smile by telling jokes, tripping over her own tail, even throwing a bowl of punch on you hoping that your frown would turn upside down. if that doesn't work, be prepared for a montage of skateboarding, gymnastics, jumping over multiple fires, and a lot of snags being thrown around and eaten. 'i hope you like vegemite, mate,' because that's what she'll let you have as your popcorn as you watch her replicate as many action movies as possible before brax the helicopter dad comes to the rather unappreciated rescue.

her enthusiastic nature comes from a lot of different key factors in her life. her behavior came from her fathers' ways of caring for her, the outside influences of australian life, and her siblings' relationships with her as the three of them aged alongside each other. growing up with her family members being driven insane by her antics used to be something she could feel guilty for, but nowadays pulling stunts is a regular thing. her carefree attitude causes her to do various amusing dares, from eating a ghost pepper to learning how to skateboard down a long, thin railing. she's in the middle of mastering the latter, anyway. when it comes to ghost pepper, well... imagine kalari laughing while her eyes burn red and snags and ice bags are scattered everywhere, because that was the aftermath of one dare she admits she wouldn't do again just yet, and for once it's not the result of braxton interfering with her dares. goodbye ghost peppers and hello good old vegemite.

while it may seem like kalari's boisterous and outgoing appearance could make her seem rather hard to get used to or even approach, no need to worry ! she will be the one to approach you, running or skateboarding her way towards you only to give you a hug. her friendliness will make her want to be close friends with literally anyone. if she ever comes across a bean with an ominous outlook [ hint: this does not always mean brax ] she would still approach them and say hello. unfortunately, she doesn't really understand the concept of privacy very well.. maybe it'll come across her eventually that 'i don't want a hug' means just that, but for now unless you're okay with getting a sudden embrace from kalari, it might be best to stay away from the ulrich household for the time being and wait till kalari [ finally ] finds out what borders stand between her and others. for now, those borders are merely nonexistent.

kalari is used to being the one keeping the rules up. she's also pretty used to others following her orders, since she can be a bit demanding. think of something like 'yeah, you better put that plank near the bonfire before i call my dad and tell him to toss you into it, mate.' she sometimes uses sentences like this in order to get others to set up an obstacle course for her. this sometimes contradicts the nicer side of her, but she doesn't really care. she doesn't really see her threats as words that could strike fear into others, even when a single glance at braxton or mohatu could scare others' fur off. her keywords of 'my dad's an assassin' usually suffice even without a sight at mohatu, though. sometimes the requests that accompany her snarky threats are actually even scarier than the aforementioned threat - take for instance a situation where kalari would use you as a dummy that plays a key part in her marvelous acts. succeed and you'll walk away with something she considers minor like a scratch or a twisted ankle, or fail and probably end up with both you and kalari needing a trip to the hospital. in these cases, it's better to just roll and see if kalari ends up deciding you're too weak for the job after all.

all in all, while she's a fun-loving, tussling rough-and-tumble young bean, bring a life jacket and provisions when you plan on hanging out with her... she might just make you a dare dummy ! and also watch out for sudden hugs.

kalari has a very... interesting set of quirks. she loves to lick old batteries - and says she does it for the 'tingle,' - uses a walkman instead of an ipod, has a habit of carrying her skateboard like someone would carry a baby, never ever takes proper care of her claws, bites her lips often and doesn't drink water as much as she needs, causing her lips to dry and peel often, never dots the letter 'i' when she writes, and hums heavy metal when she's nervous. let's dive in and see how she came to have these quirks, shall we?

first off, old batteries. brax usually has these around, maybe just because he never had the time to throw them away. now, kalari found these batteries, and while she the first thing she thought of when she found them was 'i wonder what i could do if i burned them?' and not 'what if i ate one?' she still took them into her own hands. not long after that, she and her friends were playing a round of 'i dare you,' which was far better than truth or dare since kalari would always go for dare. when she uncovered the batteries, of course, she was challenged to lick one. although she was disgusted at the taste at first, she ended up feeling a fondness for it and wound up making sure she had a few spare batteries nearby to chew at.

her next quirk, which is more of a habit really, is that she uses a walkman instead of an ipod. and its obviously not because she can't afford one - after all, they've always had more money than they needed as a family. no, this is a side effect of the brax influence. not only did he lend her one of his walkmans and she ended up never giving it back, but he also began to tell her stories of his music career around the time. before the walkman was hers they never talked beyond the fact that brax was a heavy metal band player - never talked about his history, how he ended up becoming who he was now. the walkman was like a key to finding out more about heavy metal dad, basically.

kalari's skateboard is something she holds very close to her; it was a gift from both mohatu and braxton on her birthday. they had given it to her, ironically, in the hopes that she would be too distracted by the skateboard to do any more daring moves. too bad she ended up integrating both factors to make the magnificent moves she pulls off nowadays. the fact that she always holds the skateboard like a child, though - it came from an inside joke of sorts, if you could even call it that. because kalari was only five at the time she had a tendency to find unfunny things rather amusing. not that she doesn't still act that way nowadays, mind you. when mohatu said something along the lines of 'let's see you test this baby out' while holding the skateboard, kalari took it and cradled it like a literal baby. as she continued to carry it the way she did before. ever since then she would bring her skateboard as if it were a child bean.

now, kalari is hardly ever seen without mangled and dusty claws. sometimes they have their tips broken off, or are completely caked in dry mud, have the skin of a dead bug on one of them, and so on. kalari's lack of hygiene sense for her claws comes from laziness, really. according to kalari, what's the point of washing and polishing her claws when she'll only get them dirty again? she will only clean her claws when she needs to eat, or write, or anything similar, but the claws never stay clean for long anyway because they could have grease, mud, grass stains and so on all over her claws. her habits of going outside so often and only going inside periodically leaves her claws in this situation. when she washes them, she doesn't make an effort to do a good job at it anyway.

another one of her quirks is that she doesn't drink as much water as she should, leaving her with cracked lips. while she claims the taste of blood between dried and cracked lips isn't all that bad, she does know it's bad for her health. still, when she's so busy outside she tends to forget that she needs to have a drink of water. she usually only has a small water bottle around to carry, and never really refills it because she only drinks half of it a day. when she's cooling off she usually downs glass after glass of cold water, but outside? she doesn't really pay attention. it's worth noting that while kalari looks like she hardly takes care of herself, seeing as she has dusty fur, mangled claws and dry lips, but it's only the wording that makes her sound that way. in reality, she's simply having too good of a time to think much about herself. she always gets too distracted by the tempting tricks she could do on her skateboard, and so forgets to drink her water. she's too excited and wants to go back outside, hence she takes a short shower and doesn't sort out the tangles in her fur. she simply wants to get back in the action, throw herself into the fray.

the above is somewhat the reason behind why she never dots the 'i's she writes. her hands move too fast, her eyes read so quickly she has to copy it down on her papers as quick as she can. her handwriting is brisk, messy, but still readable. her letters 'u' and 'v' are somewhat difficult to tell alike, but her most interesting writing quirk is still the letter 'i' without its dot. she used to dot them, but as she learned to write quicker she lost the feeling that she needed to keep a fancy handwriting, and that shaped her current font into what she writes in now.

kalari hums heavy metal when she's nervous. only when she's nervous. she doesn't do it to pass time or hum when she's happy, probably because she usually felt a little unsure of herself when brax began to teach her how to 'properly' play the drums. before that, she just tried to play random beats, but ever since brax eased it into her that she could do better, she began to do just that. her mind paired 'metal music' and 'nervousness' together ever since, and it's latched itself onto her that feeling nervous triggers her to hum a watered-down version or two of the heavy metal songs she's heard so often.

braxton | father

'oh, god, no,' has to be one of braxton's catchphrases when it comes to trying to take care of his daughter. kalari worries him often thanks to her habits, and when mohatu's not around somebody has to watch the young bean make use of her pent-up energy. being family-oriented as he is, braxton cares deeply for kal as he should. although kalari always manages to get to him and worry him half to death, brax doesn't really reprimand her or get angry, and that's one reason why kal loves him so much.
he has, however, spoken to her in a way that she has enough understanding about how dangerous her behavior is and how it could possibly lead to injury. he's prevented her from various painful landings by giving her protective gear and by simply giving her advice. another great thing about father brax is that he's always open to cuddles, something kal would never say no to - even when they're in the music studio! there, kalari also has fun playing the drums and pretending she's a rockstar, something brax will call her often. other nicknames include 'superstar,' 'shooting star,' 'professional skateboarder' and kal's all-time favorite, 'my little treasure.'




mohatu | father

assassin dad is best dad - well, as good as metal dad at best. still, whenever braxton's protective ways become too much for kal to handle, she knows she can just scramble on top of mohatu and be with him instead, sticking her tongue out at a somewhat insulted braxton as she does. while mohatu's advice for kalari usually goes against what braxton says, kalari usually follows advice from him over brax's more restrictive words. after all, who wouldn't? as lenient as mohatu is, though, he can see the boundary between safety and what's just a little bit too dangerous. let's take 'jumping from the roof into the pool with a distance of two meters over a fire with snags tied around her tail' for an example, even if kalari was only joking about that [ it was totally a joke and wasn't something she would have really done. right? right? ] either way, mohatu proves to be a better snuggle pillow than braxton, but when he's showing off some of his assassin moves, bloody oath if she could pull those off... won't stop her from trying, though! it's a wonder why she hasn't broken any bones yet.




nuka | younger brother

when nuka was born, kalari was still a rather young bean. still, she was already energetic and sparky, so when she learned that she couldn't take nuka outside to play with just yet, she got a bit disappointed about it. nowadays, the two are on pretty good terms. kalari often refers to nuka as her little wombat brother, both when he's there to hear it and not. kalari doesn't usually let nuka join in on her adventures and antics, mostly because she still sees him as the fragile little brother he was back then. the fact that brax and mohatu wouldn't let her play with him when he was still a child kind of stuck itself on her brain and wouldn't let go. because of this, kalari often underestimates her brother, since he's but a little bean in her eyes, just like when he was a newborn. this doesn't really strain their relationship unless the topic of going outside comes into mind, though - when kalari isn't on her skateboard or running about, she enjoys playing games with nuka and being with him in general. her allusion of him as young and fragile still winds them up in some undesirable situations like 'i'm not a kid anymore, sis,' but for the most part, nuka's finally beginning to grow up when seen from kalari's point of view. nuka's arrogance, for the most part, bypasses kalari's awareness - she never really sees how he acts, even now.




aisling | younger sister

aisling is kalari's little fluff bundle of a sister. because kalari was older by the time aisling was born, she'd understood to leave the little beanling alone and not try to pull her into any of kal's outrageously careless stunts. as she had grown to be even more of a rebel than before, kalari tended to ignore aisling as they both grew. while kalari doesn't spend much time with her, she does try to rub off on aisling. while she knows she shouldn't influence her too much, she often gets too far ahead of herself and sputters, talks, laughs, and jokes around aisling in a manner that would definitely leave its mark on her. of course, this is anything but intentional. kalari simply wants what's best for her younger sister to make up for not being able to take her on some skateboard rides - which, oddly, is something she blames herself for instead on the constant progression of time and the undeniable age difference between them. while aisling does have a rather few band-aids on her that border between her elegant appearance, kalari still views her little sister as someone who holds herself high... and yet, she hopes to build a closer relationship with little aisling in the future.




yoichi | ' enemy '

when the word enemy comes to mind, what follows after is usually a depiction of a strained and toxic relationship of two individuals fueled by utter hate. in yoichi's case, there's no better way to describe it. however when it comes to kalari, things are a little bit more... complicated, to say the least. let's start with the basics. yoichi and kalari are simply polar opposites. the older bean's eloquence and grace differs massively from kalari and her ways of having fun, laughing until she snorts only to laugh even harder. while yoichi is simply revolted and repulsed by the sight of the young bean's 'outrageous' personality in its full glory, kalari simply sees yoichi as both a source of entertainment and someone to laugh at from a distance. something like the uptight, perfectionist character who will walk with only the lightest of steps, wear only the cleanest and prettiest clothing appropriate, and only talk in an accent that appears both polite and degrading to others. to kalari, yoichi fills that exact slot. it's one thing to simply be herself when she's around yoichi, but in some cases kal will make an effort to annoy the older bean until yoichi looks like she could pop a blood vessel.




bra'dach | friend ? ' big bro ? '

let's just say that while their relationship isn't as bad as the one between kal and yoichi, this one's still pretty interesting in some way. when kalari first met the pink bean, her first reaction was - as with many other beans - the need to call out 'friend !!' and run over to give him a hug. unfortunately for dach, he doesn't like unauthorized hugs, especially not from little frizzy beans with dust and countless tiny twigs snagged in her fur. kal annoys dach constantly with her begging for his attention when she's about to do an ollie on her skateboard with a string of snags around her neck. it's almost a one-sided platonic love, as kal sees dach as a brother of sorts. after all, she's never had an older sibling. this is one relationship in which kal's lack of understanding for privacy takes place - she will try to climb on dach's back and harass him from every possible angle in the hopes that he would look at her and smile. that's really the only point of her trying to get his eyes on her - just so she could make him happy. he's always looked a bit too down for her liking, after all.




maddox | friend

maddox the nonbinary bean met kalari when they were both young. being the same age, the two beans quickly bonded and became close friends. while they had rather different interests, maddox and kalari both stood on the optimistic side when it came to their views, and that led kal to become a supporting friend to the shyer maddox. because their parents were rather unstable, maddox usually spent time with kalari, and since they were also bra'dach’s little sibling, kalari and maddox often talk about the older bean. for the most part they don’t talk much about dach aside from his behavior towards kalari’s countless attempts at hugs. maddox, unlike their brother, actually loves hugs and will even play-fight with kalari often. another thing they enjoy talking about is their eyes - kalari has eyes that glitter and glow while maddox has one ‘defective’ eye with a white pupil. the two beans often talk about their respective hairstyles too - maddox loves to play with kalari’s dreads, and often tries to braid her hair for her when in return kalari helps maddox tie their hair with their favorite green ribbon. outside of those things, they still go outside and play, and while maddox still prefers to keep themselves away from the fire, they have started learning how to balance on kalari’s red skateboard just for fun.

now who exactly is nago ? nago kind of started off as... a figment of kalari's wild imagination. as kids were, kalari had many thoughts to think, places to go, things to see, and she didn't want to do it alone. that was kind of the story in which nago appeared. she was still three [ or perhaps four - she doesn't remember very well ] and she was doodling with crayons. ended up with a really badly colored, stubby-legged goanna drawing. her eyes lit up, and using the crayon gripped in claws stained red from crayon wax, she began to write down the name she had decided. the tip of the crayon went up, slid down, began to create the individual letters that spelled his name - nago. kalari's mouth turned upwards in a proud smile, like a parent seeing her child for the first time. she held the drawing with careful hands, making sure she wouldn't rip the paper by accident, getting to her wobbly feet as she was eager to show mohatu her new creation.

now then, nago in his original form wasn't at all that flattering. he was... pretty much a red-and-brown blob with short round legs and a tail too thin for the rest of his body. in kalari's eyes he was a tall goanna almost twice her size. she could ride on his back or ask him to get stuff off the tall shelves. he wouldn't always comply, but he was still her best friend. she would play with him for hours on end; apparently nago could alter realities and magically turn the floor into lava. whenever kalari fell, nago would switch out the flaming molten rock back into the good old floor, the ledges would turn back into couches, and the only pain kalari would feel was just the one she got from landing on her rump. nago was also the cuddly kind, while his scales were rather rough he wouldn't hesitate to give kal a hug. for some reason, brax and mohatu couldn't see the tall goanna, but nago liked it that way. he said it made him feel stealthy. and kalari wouldn't have it any other way.

about two years later, when kalari was at a toy shop to buy toys for baby nuka, she'd found the goanna plush and completely denied that nuka was going to be the only one getting a toy. by the time that happened, she had already forgotten most of her imaginary friend, aside from mere bits and pieces. she couldn't recall his personality very well, and according to herself nago 'refused to show himself anymore.' as soon as she got the plush though, she began to reconstruct nago. he'd shrunk, yes, but kalari had grown. in some ways they had switched roles, but nothing changed regarding how close their friendship had become. even now kalari still takes him outside, sometimes by hiding him in her cozy bag or just holding him in her hands. she'd put him on her skateboard and let him roll down a slope. it didn't matter if nago fell, he still enjoys it to this day.

ah she.. she ticks me off greatly. im usually snapping at her or trying to pry her off of me. i dont hate her really but she just.. doesnt get i dont want to be considered a friend of hers. i dont want her to go off and chit chat all about me to people, so im /never/ going to give her that slim chance- but she still seems to find a reason to talk about me to my sibling. the fact she.. is obsesses with getting my attention is probably one of the biggest reasons i refuse to get buddy buddy. it really weirds me out and hey, im sure a lot of other beans could use my attention. and that no im not interested in any of your board tricks or naga- or nago. i could do wonderfully without that.. thing. im not freaked out by it or anything i just hate reptiles. 's simple as that. i never want to see one again and her having one as a doll just has 'dach repulsed jbd here' written all over it. 
overall, i dont like the kid and want her to lay off if possible. im still wondering why she ran up to me that one day when i was out my sibling- who was in the restroom actually, i had just been waiting on them and guess what !! a wild flipping brat appeared and hasn't left yet, she doesnt look like shes leaving anytime soon anyway.

maddox | written by me

kalari is... really cool ! while for some reason big bro doesn't seem to like her i find her just fine. she's pretty cool too i guess ? shes one of the few folks not freaked out by my eye color and honestly thats already a thing i appreciate from her. its actually surprising how easily people can turn on you just because your one eye looks different. but the point is, kalari's different. she does have some rather... gross habits i suppose, though it's not something i try to dwell on too much. i try to ignore them and just focus on how she actually wants to spend time with me ? she's really kind too. sometimes i like to wear bows and ribbons and she'll help put them on. we talk about our eyes sometimes, too. she often takes me out to play with her skateboard and her goanna friend nago. i don't really feel comfortable with the latter... its not that i don't like reptiles, it's that big bro dach seems so stingy when i mention it. i don't show it when i'm near her, but... yeah.
she's still a great person to be around, and she'll probably be the next best bean for me to have around other than my family. i just wish she'd be a little more understanding sometimes and actually ask people what's wrong before trying to break her own tail performing tricks to cheer someone up.

bacardi | written by me

oh, kalari ? shes certainly the wild, unchained and untamed little girl. even though i haven't seen her too often, she's crashed by my cliffside shop often. she's been visiting me so often lately it's hardly a surprise anymore seeing her frizzy hair all over the place while she carries her skateboard and occasionally a reptile doll. i'm not sure why she's so attached to it. as a customer, she's a little annoying, if i'm honest. she'll be a bit demanding, a bit slow to pick what to buy, but that's always to be expected from customers, so i really shouldn't complain. she's a very lively lady, eager to make paper airplanes with me and accompany me sometimes in selling. she does come over with her parents sometimes, and i can see a significant difference when she's with her family. she gets slightly... docile, but even that fails to rain down on her excitement. she just doesn't talk as loudly, run around as much, and prefers to stay with her parents. i guess she'd rather make sure they're happy when they're checking out my humble shop than show others around - in which case, she talks to strangers, in a cheesy advertising way. i know she's trying to help me sell my products, and frankly both the customers and i find it charming enough to up my sales a little. i actually can't complain.

i haven't seen much of the rascal honestly. i only know her through bra'dach and from what i've heard from him, this bean is... really really annoying? sorry, i, can't really give an unbiased opinion. it's really all i know about her. i think i've only ever seen her once or twice in person, and while she looks nice, she's always all over the place around dach. maybe she isn't bad around myself, but anyone who annoys the living hell out of dachbro? i can't say i really like her, sorry.
even though shes always running around she actually looks like she's having a good time. can't blame her honestly, but i guess the only thing i find wrong with her is that she just won't let dach off. i can't relate to her or anything so befriending her isnt really something i can do, so that's out of the question too. while i do think she's kind at heart i still can't shake off that she's constantly bullying dach. maybe she doesn't realize it, who knows ? her personality as a whole just can't seem to match mine nor dach's very well. shes too outgoing, too loud, too much of a fun-lover even at her age... she's just so much of an extrovert it surprises me. besides, she'd be better off playing with dach's sibling maddox than any of us.

kalari was not the kind of person to be sitting in a library and actually be quiet while being there. still, the book at her hands had caught her attention, and she probably had some sort of inertia whenever she found something interesting - it would take a lot of force to get her mind off it. this time she had discovered a book on physics and let's just say... she's not getting off that book for a while. she sat there chewing her pencil with the book in her hands and a piece of paper on the table, with nago asleep not too far away [ he was clearly sleeping because he wasn't talking to her or anything, so there's that ]. she wasn't even writing anything - her eyes were focused on the words printed on the pages, skimming the pictures that explained things like gravity and how it worked. it's interesting how she found this fascinating; her favorite part of this had to be tying the laws of physics around her skateboard tricks - and that was what she was trying to do. eventually the pencil eased out of the gap between her teeth and she began sketching out her ramp. it didn't look much like a ramp, but it would do. kalari began to plot out her graph, pausing once in a while to glance at the book again. after a while, nago had awoken, and kalari pulled him close. he asked her, "... what're ya doin'?"

the bean simply lifted him up and placed him on the paper, allowing him a good look-see at her work. nago didn't look impressed. "could'a been better," he muttered, "if i was in it." unfortunately, nago wasn't very good at lying with his teeth, and kalari was able to see that. so she shook her head and put nago back, whispering, "you'll be in there soon," giving him a promising wink before she continued on her work with a grin. she looked at him, pat his head, before covering her work with a hand from his view in order to sketch out nago's body on the skateboard. he wouldn't need to know about this, not at all. she told him to go back to sleep while she looked for more facts on physics, while she didn't actually need the book anymore. she wiggled her toes in delight, this was going to be an interesting thing to pull off. maybe she could go loot a candy store on her way back from the library on her skateboard to cheer nago up. although her version of looting was just shoving two candies into her bag when no one was looking. or she could pester papa brax and pull the wool over his eyes, that sounded really fun too. either way, she finished her plans quickly, folding the paper up and putting it away hoping nago wouldn't question it. fortunately, the goanna was still sleeping. kalari took him and petted him before putting him in the nag too, in a different pocket from the paper. then she zipped it up, walking outside and leaping on her skateboard, directing the board to home.

kalari being herself is... to be expected, of course. being the energetic, fun-loving bean who would stuff herself in your face to make you happy. someone who has a hard time comprehending things such as sadness, why people cry and so on. of course she'll be this way for quite a while, since she's not really a bean to mature very quickly. because of this, she'll retain her personality as a child for a while. she'd spend her days with her routine of stunts, annoy dad one and then annoy dad two. spend some time with her siblings, go outside, and so on. there's really not much else for her to do. hunt for that jar of vegemite, wherever brax hid it, and share the day's experiences with nago. she'll do some other things too, of course. maybe spend some time to try and fix her handwriting or learn how to draw. she hates to admit that she really wants to master some form of physical art, since at the moment she feels like mastering music just isn't the same. for someone like her, old habits die hard. she'll retain some aspects of her personality, of course, even if she'll have to mature eventually. there are, for instance, her tendency to jump in headfirst and her habit of talking loud and clear. to kalari, anxiety isn't something to worry about, not even when her lack of it gets her in trouble. she takes things without the seriousness she needs, though, so that could change over time. her habits of jumping in first and thinking later will take a toll on her eventually, though. it's simply inevitable. when it comes to learning, she'll probably grow up to be a smarter type of character - her extroverted outlook will allow her to learn more, listen more. although she talks a lot, she's not the type to speak too much in class and disrupt the learning protocol. she picks up on things easily, and the only time she gets scatterbrained in terms of academics should be when she's trying to learn languages and grammar. she finds physics and biology to be her favorite subjects, and will continue to expand on these subjects in particular. in terms of family, she will still be a daddy's girl to both mohatu and brax, although she'll begin to spend time with mohatu more in order to try and pick up some of his assassin moves - she might even get to learn how to do something cool, like throwing knives ! even if braxton wouldn't approve of both mohatu teaching her and kalari actually listening to him. she'll begin to spend less time with nuka and aisling, though - letting nuka get on with his arrogance and all, and leaving aisling to break some of brax's rules in her own ways instead of following kal's guidance like she used to. frankly, it's a little sad to see the siblings spend less time together, but it is to be expected, and kalari realizes this with a bitter-sweetness that introduces her into her teenage years.

as a teenager;
kalari goes through a lot of changes as she grows, and begins to realize that her habits in the past may have left behind some scars. while she will try to make up for these mistakes, they will prove to be a challenge. while that takes place, kalari's personality will also undergo a lot of changes throughout her teenage years. while she would never really forget her nago, for one thing, her imagination surrounding him will start to fade and she'll keep him in her bag longer than outside of it, if she doesn't just leave him at home altogether. she will still feel sentimental over him, of course, and would cuddle him every night, especially after watching some horror movie or if she's feeling stressed out. she wouldn't ever consider replacing him despite his withering form, if anything she would end up buying another goanna plush and convince herself that nago's 'persona' would shift from one plush to the other. that while it's not the same plush, it's still her childhood friend. if that even makes sense, because it only does in her head. and that's only the changes regarding her favorite goanna plush. regarding the arts, she's probably mastered the drums at this point, and won't hesitate to practice in her free time. by this time she'll have given up on drawing or sculpting, as she's realized that her strong points weren't there. she'd be a slightly better than average student in class, as her language intelligence will have improved slightly [ while they would be - just - above average still ] and her love of science would give her the advantages in learning. she may have also gained the upper hand in physical education too, not to suggest it's from all her knife throwing training of course. all the exercise she did when she was a child, along with her skateboarding hobby that she still has up to now, would help her with gymnastics and keeping herself fit. she's probably already faced bullies who picked on her for her hair, too, so she's hopefully gained a reputation for that in class as well. ' eat my fist, mate. ' in terms of family, by now she would have spent lesser time with them and would have started to go outside with her friends often. while that doesn't mean she doesn't care for her siblings and fathers, it may seem that way for a short while. then she'd come back and apologize before pulling them all into one big group hug. she'll have started to see visions of college, if she manages to get that far. she'll be a bit nervous on this subject, of course. the prospect of leaving the small group of blood-bound beans she grew up with in order to continue living her life to the fullest could seem intimidating into even the toughest of hearts, and kalari is nowhere near an exception to this rule. she would get sentimental all over again - and this time it's not just for her beloved plush, but her family. suddenly everything would seem like something she would have to leave at some point.

as an adult;
whoa, whoa, she's an adult now? kalari honestly wouldn't be able to accept it quickly. she would continuously deny her adulthood, telling everyone that things are going too fast for her, that she's too young for all the things happening in her life. suddenly she's earning money through her music skills and playing the drummer for the occasional concerts, even if she doesn't really need the cash. her rather mature decision of earning her own money when she could have easily asked for a loan from brax and mohatu brushes against the fact that she will keep insisting that she's still nothing but a teenager at best. she'll be the best skateboarder ever, at the age of a young adult she'll be going places on a red skateboard like she's always done. too bad she had to replace the skateboard since she had outgrown her old one. she would be in college by now, with her goanna plush nago always waiting for her to come back after a tough day, which is virtually any day in her life at this stage. while she's busy, she has to admit she's happy, although she would never really say such a thing unless it's a careless whisper into the ears of nago himself. she'll have been the better student regarding her favorite subjects, so that's something she can be proud of. as she juggles her crowded life around, she'll try to keep in contact with her family, of course. trying to schedule dates to meet up with mohatu and brax again. while she does know meeting them would be a rare occasion, she would never let it stop her from trying to pin a date down and secure it with police tape, except it would have 'strictly family reunion day' on it instead of 'do not cross.' as she continues to grow up, she might just encounter some romance - who knows? maybe she's already found someone since her teenage years. either way, it's not something that would concern her too much if it's someone from her college. if not, she'd brush romance aside in favor of being able to get a higher education first. at this point, she still wouldn't have any idea what sort of sexuality she has anyway. she never really felt the need to find out, curiously. even after college, she would still take things slow and prefer to let herself enjoy life the way it is. maybe buy a plane ticket to go around the world and finally see the other side of it, explore forests or caves like she always wanted to. find more reptiles, maybe even see the legendary komodo dragon! those have been on her list of things to do since forever - she hasn't forgotten. even at an older age, she would still be the rowdy young bean she started off as - while so many things had changed in the past, there's always the certainty that the child in kalari would continue to live on for as long as possible.
