She followed Stephanie's scent to the mall.
She found her and whined.

"Dusk?" Stephanie was amazed. She put a lead on her and dragged the dogs to the shelter. "Take Lyra" she panted to the family.

Dusk lied down.
When she was off the lead, she sneaked outside and wondered the streets for many hours.
Dusk saw a human with a coffee and she wagged her tail at the stranger.
"What a cute dog!" The human said happily.
But then the human noticed the dog's missing leg place and threw her coffee at Dusk.
" It's a ugly mutt with three legs!" The human said dramatically and ran away.
Dusk slept in a ally way for the night.
She figured if no one wanted her, then why go back to the shelter?
