Police cars that had been nearby to see the crash sped over and twolegs swarmed the car. All five of them used their strength to haul the car aside and load the twoleg into an ambulance with worried faces. One saw Cherryclaw and picked him up.
"Must've been a pretty bad crash. His cat's dead."

The kit peeked over his shoulder.
"She's my mommy. That's my daddy." it pointed to Tori's father. "My mommy did nothing but curse the night she had me. She tried to kill him. Where were you? She always talked to me about you." it whined.

Night flicked his ears and went over to her and yanked the quill out.
