Emberpaw plopped into a sitting position and curled his bushy tail around his paws. He was busy staring at his mentor's wounds to recognize the cat lying next to her right away. But when he finally did, the orange apprentice grunted in displeasure at see the two so beaten up. And the fight was apparently still going on as they spoke. "What's he sleeping for? You're the one who looks ready to die. Nevermind, anyways, what was that badger like? I wish I could've been there. Not just for the battle, but... maybe if there were more cats you two would've been fine." His claws retracted and dug into the ground beneath him, eager to go out training. But by the looks of it, Fawnstep wouldn't be going out with him for a while now. It's not as if he really needed the training though. He knew pretty much all there was to know regarding the skills every warrior needed. When Emberpaw had been training on his own, the tom had trained hard. And when he trained with this she-cat, he only trained harder. All he wanted was to be named a warrior so he soar through the ranks of his clan and prove to himself that he wasn't just some stray kit Venomfang took pity on all those moons ago.
