~Dawn~

Shaking away the snow that clung to her frozen paws, Dawn slinked towards the elk, glancing at Ionna every once in a while to ensure she hadn't missed some kind of order. Her jaw parted to catch the scents of the forest around her while her eyes trained on their next meal. Suddenly, Dawn's nose twitched as she caught a familiar scent. A rogue? No, it was the pack omega, trying to stay hidden among the snow, her gold flank barely seen over the mound of snow. What is she thinking? She could be caught by Ionna and things won't go well! Dawn thought, her upper lip curling in irritation. The female beta was never fond of the omega, nor did she specifically dislike her. Accalia was obviously a shy wolf, never really inviting Dawn to find a way to communicate with her... but even Dawn didn't like getting on Ionna's bad side, which meant Accalia would be in big trouble if she interfered with the hunt.
Snapping back to the current situation, the young red wolf listened intently as her Alpha ordered her to go upwind to catch the elk. "Kay!" She barked, taking a sharp right to circle around the hoofed beast, the wind slamming into her snout, hiding her scent from the upcoming prey. The omega now forgotten, Dawn peered around her, trying to see if Rafe was heading to the same point to ambush the elk. The fae didn't know what to make of this well-built brute. She found him interesting, if not amusing and despite how bad the idea may seem, Dawn would like to get to know him better.
~Tracker~
{male/5 years/Beta/Dominance 5/Tagged: Sidney)
Sniffing the frigid cold air, Tracker relished in the many scents that beckoned to him. His soft paw pads were numb and soaked with the heavy snow fall, but that only excited Tracker more. Ears swiveling towards his Alpha, he gave a nod of acknowledgement before springing into action. The beta watched as Sidney nipped at the elk, urging it away from the water.
With a grin of delight, Tracker pushed through the thick snow and quickly ran alongside the hoofed animal, careful to avoid it's pounding legs. His jaws ached for the killing blow, but he knew better than to attack out of rash decision on his part, so he stayed by the elk, herding it towards the other wolves. Glancing beside him at the older beta, he snorted in amusement as he saw the annoyance flickering in Sidney's eyes. "Don't you know the quote that the great wolf said? 'patience is a virtue' and without patience, our dear Alpha wouldn't have been able to stay in this freezing cold temperature scenting prey." Tracker woofed, knowing it might irritate his packmate.
He watched his breath curl in the air, a frozen claw melting away. His breath came in short, taking in gulps of air as he bounded through the snow covered grass. The elk gave a grunt of fear and tried to push past Tracker, only to have the brute snarl and bare his teeth, chasing the moose back on it's path of becoming prey.
