As soon as the she-cat heard the familiar sound of pawsteps approaching her, she gingerly raised her head from it's rested position on her paws. Biting back the sarcastic remark she was tempted to make when Mildtail asked where the majority of the pain was coming from, Fawnstep experimentally rotated her head in an attempt to be able to give a better answer than 'my throat hurts'. In actuality, her throat just ached dully, although Fawnstep suspected that was only because of the medicine cat's earlier treatment, but each time she turned her head a little too far to either side, she flinched as a spurt of pain spidered up into her jaw and down to her chest. Blinking thoughtfully, the she-cat tried to answer as reasonably as she could without sounding like a whiny kit. "It's really not that bad unless I turn my head too far or move too quickly," she meowed, returning her head to its normal position. After a short moment of thought, she peered up at Mildtail with a slightly pleading look in her eye, "Please don't waste too many of your supplies on me, there are other cats who will need them much more than I will."

Fogpelt continued to rip and tear at the badger's hindquarters as Sparrowclaw joined in and began to pummel it's head. The gray tom only fought harder as he realized that the badger was slowing down, it's movements growing sluggish and weak as it lost more and more blood. At this point it was a battle of strength and stamina rather than skill. If he and Sparrowclaw could outlast the badger long enough for it to exhaust itself and die, they'd be home free, save for a couple bumps and bruises.

Cougarpaw mocked a pout, although his eyes lit up with mischief, and directed a sideways glance at Badgerpaw, "No fair! I didn't realize you'd be that fast..."
